[!!!

Damn it, he can even turn her ki right back around at her! For that matter, the way he shaped and warped it in front of him... It reminded her the way Herb handled ki... Mastery over ki, or something else? The colorful energies he keeps swapping between don't look familiar to her...

Not that she should bother about that now. Golden stray of beam, coming in hot!

Ranma contemplated her options in that second. Tank her own attack? She could, but what's the point in doing that when there's better decisions. Fire a larger blast to overtake it? No, who's to say Gojo wouldn't simply turn the larger beam like the other. Then...

Evasion time! Ranma pivoted and weaved her body around the energy blast. Aerial movement and control, she's never been more grateful over being taught that simple but effective skill set. Her body graceful turned in the air, landing atop a tree branch while she watched her reflected attack create a sizable crater in the ground.

Okay Saotome, use that head of yours. The asshole relies on either evading, running away or turning back your own attacks on you. He's faced foes close to that before. She can figure how to turn this her favor, somehow. Just like every other fight.

Think back to the other points in this fight. Every time Gojo displaced himself away or to Ranma. There was always a moment where he moved. How to get close enough to him to actually do damage? How to close the distance?

...

... Risky idea, but a risky idea's better than no idea and surrendering! Here goes nothing.

Bouncing off the tree branch, snapping it off from the force she put into jump high and fast, Ranma looked as if she was going to try the tried-and-true method of an onrush of one-twos that worked so well last times. Fist outstretched as she continued soaring towards Gojo, she waited and waited and waited for the right moment. The right space between the gap.

Ki control, and especially learning techniques like the Mōko Takabisha, is a very useful tool to have. Especially since A.) Focusing it in one spot, i.e. through her palms, isn't the only way a martial artist can exude it into an attack. and B.) Condensing and concentrating it into a beam isn't the only way she can project it. Ranma had always done the Mōko Takabisha by blasting it through her palm, she's never tried it in other manners...

... But what kind of martial artist, and practitioner of the Saotome Branch of Anything Goes Martial, would she be if she never adapted or improvised?

So she focused and concentrated, putting all her pride and confidence in this one move. Out of the fist, one second was just knuckles. The next, a large orb of ki materialized all at once right in front of her fist to fill the gap between her and Gojo. The orb was massive, obscuring Gojo from Ranma's sights and most likely the vice versa too. Ranma was banking on her assumption that the attack would be big enough to complete the distance and smack Gojo the second it came to existence, and the hope that the other wouldn't expect or suss out her plan.]
