Focusing it in one spot, i.e. through her palms, isn't the only way a martial artist can exude it into an attack. and B.) Condensing and concentrating it into a beam isn't the only way she can project it. Ranma had always done the Mōko Takabisha by blasting it through her palm, she's never tried it in other manners...
... But what kind of martial artist, and practitioner of the Saotome Branch of Anything Goes Martial, would she be if she never adapted or improvised?
So she focused and concentrated, putting all her pride and confidence in this one move. Out of the fist, one second was just knuckles. The next, a large orb of ki materialized all at once right in front of her fist to fill the gap between her and Gojo. The orb was massive, obscuring Gojo from Ranma's sights and most likely the vice versa too. Ranma was banking on her assumption that the attack would be big enough to complete the distance and smack Gojo the second it came to existence, and the hope that the other wouldn't expect or suss out her plan.]
