This is Alhaitham.

Kaveh and I are hosting a celebration as detailed above. RSVP with him if you wish to attend so that we can make the necessary arrangements. You may also do the same with me, but note that I have changed my shellphone ID to the one you currently see.

[...and yeah he's just gonna end it there. Eloquent as always, huh?]

...'I'll take care of it', huh?

[Kaveh kind of snorts. He should have seen this coming, but he's still shaking the cramp out of his hand.]

You're certain this wasn't to show off your username?

The network has proven itself to be the fastest way to facilitate mass communication.

[Just kind of huffs it out as he places his down his shellphone after making the post. What's with the sass, senior, he's just saying it like it is!

...but also yes, maybe to show off his shiny new ID. Even if nobody will ever know the significance besides Kaveh. His senior knowing is enough.]

An irrefutable fact that, I notice, does not at all address your motivations.

[Kaveh huffs a laugh, but comes and perches himself on the edge of the desk anyway.]

vulturvolans, is it?

[Alhaitham simply looks up when Kaveh moves to sit at the edge of the desk, the faux innocent expression on his face a perfect match for the guileless tone in which he uses to speak his next words.]

Is there a problem, paradisaea?

No, no problem...but it does give me an idea.

[Oh. Those are very dangerous words coming from Kaveh, aren't they?]

[They are, but its far from the first time in which Alhaitham has heard them by now, and past experience has shown him that those usually lead to good things, so—]

And what might that be? [He asks, with the corners of his lips curling up into the slightest hint of a smile.]

Well, my memory is still fairly hazy, but I seem to recall someone wouldn't let me write any names on them...

[He sniffs at this unimaginable cruelty, by the way, before putting a finger on Alhaitham's chest--right over his heart.]

But I wonder...if Paradisaea wouldn't work just fine here. [Kaveh hums.] Naturally, I've considered where Vultur Volans would sit in return.

[Alhaitham snorts lightly at Kaveh's thinly disguised affront, but glances down to where his senior is pointing, taking only a second before it clicks what is being asked.]

Perhaps. [He returns easily, looking back at Kaveh with one slightly raised eyebrow.] But it would only make sense for Vultur Volans to match where Paradisaea lies.

Naturally. Is that not the nature of a mirror?

[Guys this is silly. Guys.]

[It is very silly. Do they know? Probably. Do they care? Absolutely fucking not.]

Then I see no reason to oppose this idea.

[The initial tattoo he got was out of necessity anyway, and he never bothered to change its design or position since it never meant anything. This one will be far better.]

Then we'll go in the next couple days. I'd rather not spend the rest of the afternoon wincing, no?

[He sounds casual, but Kaveh is actually quite thrilled about this. He's just as silly as Alhaitham about matching.]

[More things matching... Alhaitham likes this very much, and it probably shows on his face too since its not as if he's trying to hide it.]

Alright. Just let me know when.

[In the meantime since they have each other's attention Alhaitham with reach out to tug Kaveh down for a kiss.

Don't judge him he's feeling very sappy and affectionate.]

[Well, Kaveh's more than happy to kiss the man, because he's feeling very sappy too. And maybe another kiss or three for good measure.]

Mmm...Let me sort out a few other arrangements first and then we'll go.

[Which is to say, finding a healer so they can be ridiculous immediately.]

[Alhaitham is likewise happy to take any and all kisses that Kaveh gives him, staying close even after they're done to nose at his cheek, humming in a mix of contentment and acknowledgment. He's happy to give Kaveh all the time he needs, when they have the rest of their lives together now.]

[Kaveh chuckles, and ruffles through Alhaitham's hair a bit, considering his phrasing.]

You know, I do mean it when I say you get to pick some of the decorations.

[yes, he's aware this is more for Kaveh's enjoyment than Alhaitham's. But even so, it's for both of them.]

[The hum that Alhaitham lets out this time is one closer to contemplation, and he noses at Kaveh's cheek some more before shifting to tuck his head into the crook of his senior's neck with a soft sigh.]

I'll think of something.

[He certainly isn't going to not take up Kaveh's offer there, but as fun as it might be to tease his senior with his furniture selection in their house, he doesn't want this celebration that Kaveh places importance on to be ruined. So maybe he'll go for something a bit less conspicuous... perhaps a little something for each table.]

Oh, of that I have no doubt.

[he is slightly concerned about it but you know it's fine. He's fine. They'll be fine. But he does nuzzle into Alhaitham's temple, gently.]

If you're going to bury your face there, the couch is comfier, Alhaitham.

[Don't worry Kaveh, Alhaitham will make sure that his choices won't be too far of the mark. Though that does beget the question of where said mark lies for him which... is something that they can tackle when the chance presents itself.

For now Alhaitham is simply happy enough to accept the nuzzling, pulling Kaveh in even closer so that his senior can comfortably settle himself down on his lap while he continues to keep his face pressed against Kaveh's neck.]

Mmn. This is also fine. [He gives Kaveh's waist a squeeze as he says that, along with a soft nip at the closest patch of skin that he can reach.] Just want to hold you for a bit.

[If there is one immediate difference since they'd agreed on the wedding, it is that Alhaitham has definitely become a lot more shameless with his demands to be pampered and spoiled.]

Now, how could I refuse that?

[Kaveh presses his face into Alhaitham's hair, trying to hide the blush and giddy smile on his face to no avail. This man is so open and affectionate and so needy. It's bad for his heart. Even as he loosely winds his arms around Alhaitham's neck and shoulders and settles comfortably on his lap.

He never had imagined things could be so sweet between them, not since they were students.]

[Alhaitham is more than happy to stay like this, holding onto Kaveh like an oversized teddy bear while they exist in this tranquil, warm and loving silence. He'd always been clingy in bed, unapologetically wrapping all four of his limbs around Kaveh in almost all the time that they've been sleeping here together, but now he is absolutely taking advantage of the fact that he is able to do this out of bed too, for no other reason beyond simply wanting it. It has been liberating in the most wonderful way.

He remains holding onto Kaveh and nuzzling against him for as long as possible, even as his shellphone starts to buzz with the inevitable influx of messages that come in response to what he's posted.]

[And Kaveh, who hates being still, is for once content to be held here, drinking in Alhaitham's warmth and affection. Once, long ago, he had a version of this, more fragile and innocent, and lost it--he still can't quite believe it, that he could have this again. More than what he lost, even, gentle and resilient with understanding.

He laughs a bit as Alhaitham's phone begins to buzz, and presses a kiss to his temple.]

Seems you're popular today.

[Alhaitham grunts at the tease and nuzzles more insistently into Kaveh's neck. He knows he did kind of ask for this considering the fact that he posted, but still.]

Maybe I'll take the divan after all. [With Kaveh's lap as his pillow.]

Bring the phone with you and respond to some of them before you fall asleep, Haitham.

[Not that Kaveh's chiding is particularly serious, given he's combing fingers through Alhaitham's hair.]

[Oh he always likes having Kaveh's fingers in his hair. Alhaitham hums in a mix of contentment and contemplation, nudging his head against Kaveh's hand to encourage him further.]

I'll do it if you return the favor.

[Kaveh is on his lap right now, after all.]

Of course. [Though he's not going to stop petting Alhaitham until they move. He really is just like a cat...

...He's sure Shadowlily will do fine with him.]
