That's a fine point, about the rings. Perhaps the accessibility of teleportation magic makes the need for lodgings less so, which means an inn might need to distinguish itself by being more of a "destination," or by focusing on food entertainment - as you've said - with lodgings as an additional offering... Hm.

This certainly does give me much more to consider. My family's inn at home could be magically accessed anywhere, which makes its material location far less consequential. Needing to consider a physical location here is going to be a conundrum... Though I am leaning towards somewhere more neutral.
