[ The video post starts up to reveal the faces of the Hamada brothers, along with what looks like a red suitcase beside Hiro. Their location isn’t anything special, just somewhere inland on Elrut right now, but the elder brother is smiling anyway. ]

Hello everyone, I’m Tadashi Hamada and this is my younger brother…

[ Tadashi motions to Hiro. The younger brother waves, smiling, and turns his gaze from Tadashi to the phone. ]

I’m Hiro! And this… [He gestures to the suitcase next to him before purposely pulling off a plaster from his knee. His ‘ow’ in instinctive response activates the robot inside, causing Baymax to inflate and turn on, introducing himself with a wave. ]

Hello. I am Baymax, your personal healthcare companion. I was alerted to the need for medical attention when you said ‘ow’.

You’ll be seeing Baymax around one or both of us often, so we wanted to introduce him and ourselves. I’m also interested in finding out if anyone had a temporary charging solution seeing as how I haven’t come across a power outlet anywhere yet. [ Tadashi holds up the power cord on Baymax’s charging station for anyone who hasn’t seen anything like it before. ]

Yeah, I’m not sure if the technology here is necessarily compatible—at least, not without some adapting or figuring on our part. Baymax is the priority. Even if it would be cool to actually use my handheld, it won’t die on me eventually. Tadashi and I were both pretty good with tech back home, but this might take some adjusting.

[ Hiro says, a puff of air from his sigh shifting his mess of bangs before he raises his hands in reassuring Baymax that he was fine given the robot approaches and wants to check him over. ]

On a scale of one-to-ten…

[ Tadashi chuckles as he moves to end the video recording for the post while Baymax tends to Hiro. ]

Oh, do you think they might be able to help, maybe with charging Baymax? With figuring out how to make that work here?

[He is curious and figures to ask. To check at least. More potential help can't be a bad thing.]

[Sorry Hiro. He can't really provide you more help than that.]

Oh. So he isn't here at the moment to check. That's alright. Yeah, if he does show up, let us know.

[He had hoped if the other might be here. But at the least, they weren't entirely empty-handed. There were some others here that seem like they might be able to help at least. So he will have some support in figuring this place out. This magi-tech. Adapting to it.]

Thanks. What about you? You doing okay here? I mean. Without your friend?

[Hiro figures to at least check in with Leona. If this person they mentioned might have been someone they missed, someone they were close to back home. He can't be sure about the details. But he does at least want to check. Even if he might still be getting to know most everyone here outside of Tadashi.]

I'm fine. Not like this'll affect me much.

[Huh. Weird to be asked that. Leona's not used to such concern, but he doubts he'll meet the kid face to face any time soon so it's fine like this, right?]

No? Well, either way, I hope you get to see them again soon, whether that's here or when you go back home.

[Hiro knows he misses his aunt and friends back home, even if he is still excited and curious about this place. Being back with Tadashi again. But he can't be sure how close these others were. Or maybe Leona doesn't want to talk about it. Hiro barely knows much of anyone yet. So that's also....you know. Fair.]

[It's a whole mess of complicated feelings here. Leona just isn't the type of person who ever will admit missing anyone. Ever.]

Thanks. [He thinks.] Keep a watch out for that brother of yours, too.

[Leona has absolutely no idea who Tadashi is, but he can kind of relate to Hiro being a younger brother. Big brothers can sometimes be a pain in the ass.]

Heh. Usually it's the other way around. Everyone telling him to keep an eye on me.

[Hiro was the brat. The troublesome younger Hamada had no real direction after finishing school so young. The one motivated by getting easy money through hustling and gambling at bot fights.

Then again. Even if there had been some close calls with Hiro being impulsive and self-sacrificing, he hadn't been killed because of it like Tadashi. So. Yeah. Actually. Leona isn't wrong there.]

Who says big brothers can't be the ones ever getting into trouble?

[Younger brothers live to be pains to older brothers. It's their job. But really, it's the big brothers that people gotta watch out for.]

True. It's just usually more me getting in trouble than Tadashi. But that doesn't mean Aunt Cass didn't also tell him off. Usually because of me doing something with him at the time.

[But the other isn't wrong. Hiro's job is to keep Tadashi on his toes. There's a reason the older Hamada has put trackers in his hoodies.]

All the more reason then. Sounds like a good balance between the two of you.

[He wonders what's that like. But, no. Not going down that path.]

I guess we keep each other on our toes—or, more like I do—but we work well together. I just hope others here have their important people together or that we can figure a way back home for them to be with their friends and their family. That would be the ideal.

[Hiro knows he has people back home. But Tadashi isn't there. And he knows Tadashi would likely not want Hiro to throw that away because of him. And yet. Well. It's complicated. Hiro doesn't want to think on that right now.]

[Leona doesn't text back for a moment.

How...optimistic.]

Don't be too idealistic, kid. For all you know, there might be people here who don't want to go home at all.

Yeah, I know. I get that. Depending on where some have come from, what might have happened to them back home? Of course, it might be better for some people to stay. Maybe it is idealistic or optimistic or naive, but why shouldn't people get a choice?

[But Hiro still wants to believe that. That everyone should get to choose. Even if, in his situation, that might be complicated. With Tadashi here. Not having his brother back home.]

Fair enough. What's going to end up being your choice then?

I'm not sure. I know I have people back home. My aunt, my friends. I just. I also have family here.

For now, focus on what you can do here before worrying about anything back home. Not going to do you any good if you end up feeling torn between the two.

I guess. Yeah. Try to focus on what I can do here for now. Figure the rest out later.
