[Standing upon the water's edge of Eltrut's beach, Denji can be found skipping rocks into the depths of the ocean proper. His focus on the crashing waves with his bare feet absorbed by the rushing waters, a stoic expression washed over his features as he sighs solemnly.]
 

So who else had shitty parents growing up, huh?
 

[A small pause before tossing another rock into the sea, plopping himself down onto the ground before turning his full attention towards the feed.]
 

I don't remember much about my mom she died when I was real young from a heart condition but at least she wasn't around to see how big of a prick my dad turned out to be. He was a real piece of crap all my life until he crooked and left me with his problems too. 
 

[Denji wasn't about to tell the masses what actually happened to his father after finding out none too recently but that was besides the point here. A half amused burst of laughter erupts as he tries to lighten the mood a bit grinning fiendishly.]
 

I can't be the only one around here with an asshole for a parent so what's all your stories?

So your dad makes you do all the heavy lifting when what he just kicks back and relaxes?

[Shaking his head a bit to himself as he thinks back to his own father.]

Sounds a lot like my dad when he was pissed drunk doing nothing at home but gambling all his money away.

More like running for the hills, or hiding behind being a panda while whatever sucker he screwed over comes after me instead. He manages to find ways to make my life all the irritating to deal with.

[Denji's plights in the next sentence did garner a sympathetic stare at the screen. Makes him glad he's only had to drag his own old man... a couple of times after drinking one too many shots of sake. Genma was typically too distracted training to get drunk on his ass.]

In other words, your old man was a waste of space and resources? Sucks man.

[Denji simply nods with an exasperated sigh.]

Yeah that's right but whatever I'm way better off without him now anyways even if my life can be pretty brutal at times at least I don't have to put up with his bullshit anymore.

I've finally escaped the clutches of writer's block, sorry for the delay ;^;

That's lucky. Wish I can say the same for my old fart, but I've dealt with his crap long enough to not pay attention to it. 'Till it gets my life or mom's involved anyway.

[A subtle shrug of his shoulders is given in response.]

I mean at least you got your mom around too hopefully she's not annoying like your dad. Wish I could honestly remember anything about mine but she died when I was really young to some sorta heart disease.

I hear ya'. Mom's not dead, but I've been away from her nearly all my life. Only recently got her back in the picture, and I didn't get too many chance to get to know her without one thing or another screwing me over, so I don't really know what she's like. She's sweeter than Pop, that's for sure, even if the whole pledge contract she goes on about from time can get grating.
