[ Seems only polite to turn hers on and adjust it to give a decent view of her. She's got a somewhat athletic build, purple hair, matching purple eyes, but pretty ordinary looking. Certainly more so than Karlach.

Her expression has a mix of sympathy and a hint of awe. Look, she's always had a great appreciation for those that look decidedly different. Unique. ]

Hello. I can certainly understand your issue now. Is this a mutation of some kind that you were born with or something else? [ Wait, that's rude to ask. She frowns at herself mostly. ]

( karlach lets out a little laugh before waving a hand as if that might dismiss the other woman's concerns. )

Not sure what you mean by mutation, but I wasn't born like this. It's something of a long story, but I was made to be like this after I had been forced to serve as a soldier.

( that's as about as concise as she's figured out how to explain it. she's talked about it a handful of times since she had arrived and it gets a little easier each time. )

Good for being in the middle of battle, not so much for everything else.

( one of the problems with being on video is that karlach cannot hide her expressions. her disgust is plainly writ across her face at the mention of this woman having such a horrid thing in common with her. it's an experience that she would rather no one else have.

yet all too many have been forced into violent servitude and altered against their will. by vile and egotistical masters. )

Thank you. Perhaps I'll take you up on that sometime. The same goes for you if you'd like to talk more about yours. [ There's a flicker of sadness in her own expression that she tries to push away. She's become a master at trying to push feelings away, for better or worse (more often worse). ]
