[A video starts to play, showing an open field area near a beach. There were various small creatures flying and floating around the area. They speak in chirps and trill noises that are not decipherable at this time.]

If you've been seeing these creatures, they are known as Wisps. Relatively peaceful race. Don't harm them and they won't harm you. [Shadows voice comes through the footage, but he's nowhere to be seen, staying out of view.] There's a sub species of them known as Nega-Wisps, an unfortunate mutation that occurs if their hyper energy is taken from them. Think of it like their life force. You might have seen one in Professor Turo's recent broadcast.

They're prone to act violently so take caution if you encounter one. They're purple and will display animalistic behaviors, but don't mean to harm. If you find one, bring them to Professor Turo so it can be treated. A few wisps have already taken residence at the Conservatory.

[The camera shifts, as if Shadow was preparing to the end the broadcast, but then the movement suddenly stops]

Don't try anything funny, Doctor Eggman. [There was a click, the footage ends]

[A few of the colorful wisp approach the camera when there's a new voice coming through it. Chirping and oohing in curiousity.]

They're fully grown. [Taking her words literally.]

Eeeeee. Hi there, widdle guyyyy~! Does'm have a name, does'em?

[ the baby-talk may, uh. continue for a while if not stopped. ]

[It does not help that when they speak, it may as well sound like baby talk. A sigh can be heard amongst their excited chirping.]

Do you want to see them?

Yes I do, yes I do, yes I doooo. I want to see them and cuddle them and play with them and then cry foreverrrrr.

[If it could seen right now, Shadow is pinching his brows.] Each of these wisps hold great power. Do not agitate them. Let them come to you.

[Saying all these as these wisps continue to make their cutesy sounds and floating around excitedly at potential new friend!]

[ Seriously, she started running while using the device. ]

............. [You know what, he's not saying anything else, ending the connection. He's going to check on the wisps at the conservatory in anticipation of her eventually arrival. Be sure he can oversee them, just in case.]

[ One timeskip later...

THE DOORS TO THE CONSERVATORY SLAM OPEN. And there she stands, (huh, she got her prosthetic back? the exact same one? weird?) vibrating with excitement. ]

... Babieeeeees.

Della. [Shadow is nearby, getting her attention in a subtle warning tone like a parent would give an impatient child.

There was a bunch of wisps, different colors and shapes, floating around the open area, interacting with the environment and few other creatures that have taken residence. A blue square-ish shaped one takes notice of Della first.

Shadow will quietly observe as the Blue wisp approaches the newcomer, chirping curiously. Hello friend?]

[ Della's eyes widen, and... well, you know the meme.

She struggles to stay still, hands entwined together. Voice low!!! ]

Hiiii. My name is Della, and I'm here to help, and I love you with the intensity of a thousand suns.

[The little guy slowly tilts his head with a puzzling hum. How does one love with the intensity of a thousand suns? Would you not explode?

A few more cautiously approach Della. A green one, and a bright yellowish-white one that looked distinctly different from the others. More sea slug-like in appearance.]

[ Must... contain... the squee! Don't scare them off! ]

Oh my gosh, you are all just so precious...! Okay, here, look, or, uh, sniff, whatever animals do, all you want! I come in peace!

[ She holds out her hands, palms outstretched, trying to give off a 'i mean no harm' posture. ]

[They get closer, starting to look between her and Shadow. He isn't making any indication she's a concern. So she's ok?

Blue floats over her outstretched hand. After a bit of chittering between him and Green, they place a digit on her hand. Hello?]

[ Has to physically bite down on her tongue to ensure high-pitched eeeeeeeee does not escape. Swallow. A-hem. ]

Nice to meet you! I'd love to be your friend!

[ very very slowly and gently, she tries to take the digit and make a 'shake hands' gesture. ]

[Friend! That gets a reaction from them. Blue chirps amusingly as it starts going up and down from her handshake. Green just waves a digit in greeting as the white wisp decides it wants to settle on Shadow's head while the others fly around Della.

[ Yay :3 she giggles delightfully, then tries to see if she can pull in Blue for a little hug. ]

Heehee~! Aw, you guys are too cute for words! I owe Shadow big time for this introduction!

[A squeak comes from Blue, but he didn't know what Della was doing until he's in a warm embrace. Oh, this is nice. Green chirps, fretting about in the air. Blue looks happy, he wants to get hugged too??]

I guess they like you enough. [Shadow comes forward now that introductions have gone smoothly.]

Hey, there's plenty of room for everyone!

[ She opens up her other arm, in case any more Wisps wanna come in for cuddles. She also wiggles her eyebrows at Shadow. ]

And I do mean everyone.

[ She knows he won't. But still gotta try. ]

[Oh heck yea, these wisps want hugs! Watch Della, they're calling in the calvary and about to dogpile you!

Shadow meanwhile will keep his arm's cross with a huff. The white wisp cooing above his head.]

You got your leg back. [Rather than acknowledge what she's hinting, let's talk about something else.]

[ Yay dogpile!!! She laughs happily, losing her balance and winding up on her butt. She holds as many as she can in her arms, before realizing Shadow had said something. ]

Huh? ... Oh, yeah! Wouldn't you believe it, it washed up on a shore! And here I thought my cousin Gladstone was lucky!

[ "lucky". ]

How fortunate. [It's a wisp pile! Well they seem happy, so who is he to stop their fun. Long as no one is upset.]

Who is Gladstone?

[ Some of those wisps might be getting lil smooches and beak nuzzles. ]

My cousin, Gladstone Gander! The luckiest duck in the world... and that's not hyperbole. He's literally never had to work, or even open a door. He finds twenty dollar bills at his feet all the time. I'm pretty sure he doesn't know the concept of sweat.

He sounds like he's being spoiled. [Like these wisps. They never had this sort of affection, but they clearly like it and are leaning into it. Squeaking cheers and snuggling Della back.

Thinking about it...they probably remind Della of her kids.]

They do have a mother, but I haven't seen her here.

[ NO SHIT, SHADOW. ]

Then they can just think of me as an Aunt! Which means I get to do all the spoiling without any responsibility!

[One of the wisp makes a puzzling chirp. What is an aunt?] Well, don't overdo it. At least with the treats. [That got the wisp's attention when they heard treats. The white wisp on his head flailing their tendrils excitedly. He rolls his eyes.]

They are...adventurous.

Really? Then maybe I shouldn't say that one of my pilot jacket pockets has coooookieeees.

[ This will end well, surely. ]

[Uh-oh. Well they're not absolutely sure what a cookie is, but it sounds like something they should find! Is Della ticklish? Because these curious and excitable wisps are going to start poking around until they find these cookies. One of them is able to make themselves see-through and that might lead to an interesting sensation.

All the while, Shadow is sighing.] You aren't taking any of this seriously, aren't you?

[ SHE REGRETS NOTHING!!!!

She laughs wildly as she's "tickled", trying to fish out the bag of cookies from her pocket. ]
