Warnings: Potential discussions about sex? I guess?? But mostly this is just Alhaitham being the most obliviously shameless man alive.

This is Alhaitham.

I have a survey that I would like people to fill. There are no restrictions or stipulations to the nature of the responder. The only request is for you to be honest when filling it up.

1) Are you currently in a romantic relationship or have been in one? (yes/no)
2) If yes, does your current or previous relationship involve sex? (yes/no)
3) List down 5 to 10 words that describe what your significant other (past or present) makes you feel.
4) What is your main priority when you are with your significant other (past or present)?
5) How do you measure or recognize your feelings as love? What separates them infatuation or sexual attraction? Describe in 100 words or less.

You are free to leave your answers in this post or direct them to my inbox. I will be following up on whatever answers I feel are necessary.

Not having first hand experiences are fine. But I would like to ask if you have any ideals in regards to questions three to five. You are free to not answer if you do not wish to.

I don't know if I can. I doubt I'd recognize either feeling. My mind had been my only company for most my life. To others, I was the nuisance or freak, so why would I want to give them any more attention than I must, much less entertain the softer or carnal emotions which can rob a man of rational thought and drive him to ruin?

[Honestly Alhaitham can relate to all of that. 99% of people still don't really hold his interest and it took overthrowing his old bosses and freeing his current boss from her 500 year captivity for him to start actually realizing the value of other people's opinion.

[ For 15 years, age 6 to 21, Sherlock's only friend, Jon, never existed outside his mind. Only within the last month back home did Sherlock realize he had made a real friend in John Watson. At 23 years of age. ]

For the countless that regard you as too different, there will inevitably be one who will be able to see you for who you really are instead of being blinded by the remarks of the many.

Make sure to hold onto them when that time comes; they will more than likely be able to give you a different perspective on many topics.

I know. [Let's be honest Alhaitham himself hasn't been the best with reaching out to other people too, but then again..] I'm not saying that you have to do it, here. It is simply something to keep in mind.

[It takes a moment for Alhaitham to respond, mostly because he is thinking about this in terms of "how obvious will people know this is about Kaveh".

[ The actual person in question isn't obvious to Sherlock because he still hasn't met a lot of people or matched usernames to actual names.

Besides, his thoughts are filling with something else. Sherlock just admitted that he doesn't know if he'd recognize such feelings in himself. Could he confuse his feelings of friendship towards John with those other feelings as he's never had experience with either? He never had to consider such things with Jon. (Yes, Jon was his other half, but it's different when the other half is still him. He also considered him a brother.)

Sherlock can't deny that he feels strongly towards John and misses him terribly. Should he be asking himself these questions? Is this something he needs to investigate?!

The fact that Sherlock's not repulsed by the possibility that he could have romantic or sexual inclinations toward John suggests something at the very least. Any such thing would complicate matters and involve risk, but despite that... Sherlock doesn't... hate... the possibility....

Are you intending to do anything further with your findings? Write a monograph or compile the information?

[ He would rather take a scientific approach rather than reading unrealistic, fanciful romance stories. ]

I should be compiling it, at the very least. [He needs his references for this whole thing, you know. Very important. Writing a monograph is... a different thing entirely. Though he's not exactly against the idea...

If that is something you would be interested it, I would not mind sharing it, when I am done with it.

Such information may have a use in understanding the different motivations and drives of a population.

[Sherlock is included, and so is Alhaitham. Emotions are after all part of the human experience, and he has never excluded them from it regardless of his own opinions.]

Then I will let you know when I am ready to share my findings and conclusions.
