Greetings! Gale of Waterdeep, at your service. Many of you may recall that some months back, there was rat trouble in port and aboard many of the ships, and a number of bold riftfarers were kind enough to adopt some highly-trained Warrior Cats to help combat the issue. Some of my crewmates were among them, but have unfortunately left us in recent months, and so I find myself with more cats than I know what to do with.

While I certainly have the space, I am coming and going too frequently to give all of these animals the attention they are due, and truth be told, I don't think that Tara is keen to share me for much longer. If anyone has any interest in adopting either Frostbite or Pumpkinpatch, I assure you they are both quite affectionate and will make excellent companions, in addition to earning their keep by keeping pests at bay. Frostbite is especially fond of feathered toys, while Pumpkinpatch prefers those that jingle.

[Sometime later, a second message from Gale's username will appear, only this time it's a video message with an extreme close-up of a long-haired calico. When she speaks, her voice is equal parts motherly and refined, as well as miffed.]

I would like to clarify that I do not appreciate being depicted as the jealous sort! It is only that these cats seem to think themselves terribly important, and fail to recognize that I am not one of them, but a wizard in my own right! I am a dedicated student of the Weave, and do not have time to be mothering these eager young cubs when I've my own research to attend to. Hmph.

By all means, do ask away! I will be happy to assist. They are charming young things, really, but we have found ourselves vastly outnumbered.

[She lets out a bit of a sigh, as though terribly put-upon.]

I would be more than glad to help match you with one that would suit your personality!

I think...he would probably best like one who likes more quiet companionship. Obviously, adventures will happen here no matter what, but he's a great fan of reading and chess, so if any of them share that kind of curiosity...

[He has no idea he may have secured a new chess partner for Alhaitham.]

[Tara brightens, looking quite pleased with herself.]

There is one Mr. Dekarios is especially fond of who I think he would rather like see go to stay with a good friend. She's a quiet lass, but very affectionate. She was companion to Mr. Ancunin before he departed. If it is a chess partner your friend is seeking, however, I would be more than happy to pay a visit at any time.

[She turns her nose up, beaming.]

Quiet and affectionate do seem a perfect match. Would it be too much trouble for one of us to come meet her first? I'm sure it'll be a stressful experience to move, it always is, but we at least could not be strangers to her first, after all.

[Kaveh smiles, cheerful.] And of course, you--and Gale--are always welcome to visit. I'm afraid my temperament is rather lacking for chess, so Alhaitham is always on the lookout for people to play with.

Oh, none at all! You are both welcome at any time— Mr. Dekarios will be thrilled and insist on your staying for dinner, of course.

[She thinks he rather misses the occasional entertaining.]

As for your friend, I'll have to warn, I'm quite good, especially when one considers my lack of thumbs.

Will he? We'll have to come prepared.

[Kaveh laughs softly.]

I assure you--he'd be just as thrilled to find an opponent who could beat him as not.

Oh, most certainly. Mr. Dekarios is quite handy in the kitchen, you may be surprised to learn!

[She knows he doesn't necessarily look the sort, or that some people may think he doesn't make time for much else beyond his books and spells, but she is proud to say her partner is something of a renaissance man.]
