Curse Research.

More than a few of the riftfarers have arrived in this world with a curse from their own affecting them. If you are one of them, it is requested that you respond with the effects of the curse and how 'detrimental' it is to your daily routine. Your name for further questions and research is also requested. Reply with a 'private filter' if desired.

Aid in Removing the Effects of a Curse

Those among you whom are skilled at destruction are asked to respond to this privately to determine if your skills and power is likely to be effective in destroying a specific manifestation of a curse that effects a riftfarer and was brought with them into this world.

You were looked at by a god and granted the power of destruction. And it manifests by you swinging a bat.

How exactly would you define a 'curse' in this instance?

An effect based in magic or an equivalent sort of power that cannot be remedied without a ritual, object, spell, or other power that can destroy, reverse, or repel the effect back on the being that placed it originally.

Poor health, physical transformation, acting as one usually wouldn't, a binding that creates a punishment for attempting to break it. These are common uses for curses.

What about powers? Like super strength?

What has occurred outside this world is irrelevant other than for what can be used within this world. If the powers granted by your gods' attention can be accessed, than a meeting to test these powers against a curse will be arranged.

What armada do you hail from?

You were cursed with super strength or you wish to attempt to destroy the curse manifestation with super strength?

I have super strength. Resilience too. I was born with these abilities but the problem is where they come from.

A demonic god of destruction is kinda tethered to me. My soul.

Are you unable to access your god's power in this world?

What? No! I don't want it! I never wanted it! This stupid power's cost me a normal life! It cost me my family! They're all dead because of this!

That you view it as a curse does not make it a curse, however stupid your god may be. More importantly, you have not answered the question that needs answering: are you able to access that power in this world or not?

It's a curse to me because I've been called a damn monster my entire life!

And yeah, sure! I still have those abilities here. Why does it matter? I don't plan on using them!

If you are offering your power as an example of a curse, it will noted that you view it as a curse but cannot be confirmed as one. A curse would have been that whomever's soul was tethered to the god would live a life of calamities no matter what their fate should have held. Being granted the power of that god is not the same as being cursed.

Being called a monster is not the same as being a monster.

If you reconsider using your power, the power of a god, however physically it manifests, could be useful in destroying the manifestation of the curse that needs to be destroyed.]

My curse is not one I can hide, so I don't mind discussing some of it.

It takes the form of growing crystals, and was once constantly spreading unless containment measures were in place. But in this place it has stopped at the hour without any intervention. I do not know if it will stay that way, or if it is simply biding its time.

The curse I got makes me turn into something else when doused with water. Seeing as this whole world is comprised of 90% water, I'd say pretty friggin' detrimental but nothing I can't handle.

Now destruction? You're talking to the right guy for the job. Cuz' this one has experience with beating physical manifestations of curses and ghosts.

Okay that's just semantics then. Curses are bad and if this power has been nothing but misfortune for me, then it's a damn curse!

Have you tried "true love's kiss" to break the curse? Sometimes that's better than destroying something. Sometimes.

...I can make explosives, so I suppose that counts.

It's called the Reaper's Curse. Simply put, bad luck follows me no matter where I go and affects everyone around me. As for how detrimental it is, I'd give you a body count, but I've lost count at this point.

Misfortune is a common curse to put upon others. To have it effect those around you rather than yourself is cruel for cruelness sake.

Not something he advocated for, but something he might have chosen to do during the war if it had been a feasible means of sowing chaos in the ranks of Shuiyuntian's army and weakening them.

Eizen. This curse. When you say it affects everyone around you. Is is a physical curse on all who share your bloodline, those whom you have a personal connection to that is more than incidental business, or all those within physical reach of you for a set distance? Does it manifest the same in this world as the world you come from?
