Video // Mi Casa es tu Casa
[Ranma had disappeared for a short time, not making himself seen by anyone he's gotten acquainted with. Last anyone'd seen him would've been a few days ago.
Come present day, a video feed coming from his username would pop up on the network. Opening it would display an image of a humble, homely cottage, and a familiar voice.]
Ain't it nice? Figured it was time to get myself a place all to myself. It's nothing fancy, but it's a roof over my head. Oh! There's something here I've been working on for the last few days.
[Heading inside, the video showed Ranma opening one or two doors, walking down a small hallway until descending down some steps. Those watching would get a viewing of Ranma's shoes hastily treading down the stairs, before panning up to show what looked to be a DIY training hall made out of a basement. Miscellaneous equipment and objects could be seen scattered about. Mats, cinder blocks, wooden post, anything one would picture belonging to a dojo.
The shellphone is propped down on the floor, so Ranma could walk in front of the frame. Instead of the usual red silk shirt he normally wears, he's instead dressed in a dogi.]
It's not as great or spacious as the dojo back home, and it's still a work-in-progress, but it'll do. Any of you wanna swing by and train any time, you're welcomed to. Just a head's up though I only have the few-- [He tugged the dogi.] uniforms, they may not be your size. None of the stores here had these in stock, so had to make them myself.

--> action??
[ And a moment later, he sure is knocking on Ranma's door, testing its structural integrity with his fist. It's well made!! ]
Should I kick this in so we can get the show on the road already, or are you gonna come out and face me like a man?
Lights, cameras, action!!!!
That depends!
[Gojo'll hear the pigtailed teen's voice calling from above, laidback with nary a care in the world. Hanging with his feet holding onto the steel gutter around the roof, an upside down martial artist popped out like a spider monkey.]
You wanna do this in the dojo, or here outside? Cause tell ya' the truth, would rather not have to kick anyone's sorry rear through my new walls when I just moved in.
no subject
This kid doesn't know better, but he will.
Nonchalant, Gojo tucks both hands in his pockets, looking up at Ranma with a wicked grin on his face. ]
If we do it inside, you're nice, new pad won't be standing when we're done. Out here suits me just fine.
[ Beckoning the teen forward: ]
Alright, let's get this over with.
no subject
Oh ho! Someone's confident. The martial artist hopes the older man can actually back up his swagger with his fighting. Stretching his arms, cracking his knuckles, and popping his neck, Ranma returned a grin that matched the same degree of confidence as the self-proclaimed strongest.]
Try to make this a lil' entertaining, 'kay?
[Anyone around watching that couldn't keep track would swear they watched Ranma blipped out of existence. The martial artist in red kicked off the ground at breakneck speeds towards where Gojo stood, arms raised and aimed to deliver a flurry of rapid-fire strikes at the man. Simply done to gauge just how far he needs to go out in this match.]
no subject
So just as quickly as Ramna dashes forward to pummel Gojo, so does Gojo himself blip out of existence. Rather than speed, however, it's true teleportation, matter moving from one point to another, and he reappears just behind Ranma, floating in mid-air, poised to grasp him back the scruff of his shirt and toss him like a bowling ball down the road.
Look, he's not trying to kill him or anything, just rough him up a little! It's good for the soul. Just ask his students. ]

Ranma's fists connect with the air, stopping short in the small window that Ranma could see that his foe had vanished from the spot. He doesn't have time to look for him long when he's hoisted up by his shirt, and hucked down the road with a yelp.
The teen's body spun as it bounced and rolled down the dirt road, but not for too long. Instinctively holding his hands out, he caught himself and pushed mid-roll into bouncing off the ground and landing back on his feet. Right back to advancing forward at quicker speeds, now with his guard up more and relying on his senses.
Whether Gojo's fast or teleports or whatever, Ranma's not planning on letting him sneak up and grab him aloft like a baby kitten again! Once he's close, he delivers several more strikes with his hands and kicks, each one poised and focused with precision. All while preparing himself for if he needs to pivot on his feet if Gojo feels like playing that game again!]
no subject
Gojo doesn't have long to dust his hands after tossing Ranma away; he's quick on his feet, and scrappy to boot. More and more he's reminded of Yuji — is Ranma also the kind of kid that won't give up in a fight even when he's beat?
...At least Yuji knew Sumina was a ten out of ten.
Ranma's jabs are quick, but with Gojo's Limitless technique active, they seem to slow to a near standstill, instead met with the compressed infinity that surrounds Gojo's body. He doesn't need it to win this fight, but he also isn't so headstrong as to not use all of his tools in a fight. Especially when he loves to show off. Instead, he jumps into the air with lightning-quick speed, aiming two of his fingers of his right hand at the ground.
A burst of red energy erupts from the ground beneath Ranma's feet, like a miniature explosion of rock and road. ]
no subject
Yes, yes he is. He's the same kid who took the full brunt of an attack stated to have 'shattered every bone in his body' and got back up. Resilient and indefatigable to a fault indeed. And ever consider Yuji said that to spare your feelings seeing how easily butthurt you get, Gojo?!?
Brisk bastard, isn't he?! Ranma doesn't let hitting nothing but air again discourage him. Mostly since, as his ki equivalent to a danger sense is yelling at him to move his ass now, he's busy leaping up a good forty or so feet into the air and narrowly avoiding the ground below him imploding. He could hear the earth beneath him crack and splinter, rocks and dust kicking up and scattered haphazardly around.
Explosions too, huh...? That's good to know and look out before. The martial artist hanged in the air as he rose, getting his sights on the artful dodger. He can't run forever, can he? From here, here might be able to use the Mōko Takabisha to get a hit on that smug mug's of his... No, best to save that for later. Because while both of them are headstrong and occasionally showboaters, Ranma knows that showing more and more of his hand would only give the other more of an advantage to counter and dodge.
He can't pull out all the stops yet. 'sides, he's doing... adequate enough on his own. Aerial maneuvering and combat is part of the Anything Goes' métier! Look out Gojo, pigtailed teen coming in hot at twelve o'clock for flurry kicks.]
no subject
He may not be able to use his Six Eyes to see the source of Ranma's energy since he's not a jujutsu sorcerer, but he can still see his moves coming with an infinite amount of precision, and counter effectively. He can tell by now that Ranma also has a sense of oncoming danger, so speed, surprise and confusion are his best tools here.
You know. As long as he wants to keep this interesting.
Pressing outward with his technique, the field of Infinity around Gojo grows wider and more vast as Ranma speeds towards him with his flurry kicks, and Gojo takes the opportunity to teleport right in front of him instead, to grab for one of his ankles in an attempt to throw him to the ground. ]
Rolled a dice, Ranma just barely missed the mark to not getting dunked on lmao (1/2)
Though right now, all Ranma's concerned about is handing Gojo's ass to him on a silver platter. He's got this in the bag! Or so he thought in that overconfident head of his. If Gojo was going to move, he had assumed he'd simply evade it like the other times. Not come right to him! Ranma couldn't even try to move his free leg to kick before he's yeeted downwards.
Good news for him is he won't be picking rocks and dirt out of his teeth for weeks on end. Bad news? All their moving around and his following Gojo's teleportation made him fail to take in account his surroundings. Namely...]
WHY IS IT ALWAYS--!!!
[Water. More specifically, a nearby pond close by his cottage. Unable to stop the cruel mistress that is gravity, Ranma couldn't do anything else but flail his arms uselessly as he bolides into the water. Water spouted upwards to a comical degree as if Ranma had fallen from terminal velocity.
Ranma'd disappear from Gojo's view with a sploosh, obscured by the waves of water still falling back down into the pond. Seconds would pass, no signs of the teen or anyone else in the water making themselves known...]
(2/2)
[If anyone for whatever reason had gotten concerned over the possibility of a teen drowning before them, the coalescing bubbles should quell any worries. He's still kicking. In more ways than one, as a shadowy apparition of a person rising from beneath the water surface was gradually getting larger and larger.
... Well, if Gojo wanted this to be interesting, maybe the next current event will suffice.
Someone reemerged from the waters at breakneck speeds, jumping high into the air. A teen in red clothes was steadfast as ever to keep the fight going. Though... While they shared too many similarities to the boy Gojo was fighting mere moments ago, there were differences. Like the hair color, the short height, and the fact that this teen was a girl.
Ranma continued to rise in the air, not letting the fact she was sopping wet and changed stop her from trying to get close enough to the older man. Punches and kicks don't aren't working, he'll just weave around them like they're not even there. So how about...]
Now ya' gone and done it!
Mōko Takabisha!!!
[Outstretching her arms and facing her palms to Gojo, a large yellow orb of energy formed in between her hands. All at once, it doubled or tripled in size as it fired out into a brilliant and large golden beam of ki.]
no subject
Yet everything he can perceive with his Six Eyes tells him as much. So, consider him mildly bamboozled, and rather amused, even as the girl readies to fire off a blast of considerable energy at him. It might not be cursed energy that she's using, but he can still tell that something big is coming. Something he maybe shouldn't take head-on, but where's the fun in always staying on the defensive? It's not really his style.
So as the beam of energy races towards him, Gojo lifts his hand in another hand-sign, but this time, the color of energy he channels is blue instead of red. It may be an unfamiliar energy that Ranma uses, but all energy has mass, and that's something he can still manipulate.
With a pull of Blue, the energy beam arcs and curves in front of him, before abruptly, he reverses the flow. With a burst of Red, that same channel of energy flows right back towards Ranma. ]

[!!!
Damn it, he can even turn her ki right back around at her! For that matter, the way he shaped and warped it in front of him... It reminded her the way Herb handled ki... Mastery over ki, or something else? The colorful energies he keeps swapping between don't look familiar to her...
Not that she should bother about that now. Golden stray of beam, coming in hot!
Ranma contemplated her options in that second. Tank her own attack? She could, but what's the point in doing that when there's better decisions. Fire a larger blast to overtake it? No, who's to say Gojo wouldn't simply turn the larger beam like the other. Then...
Evasion time! Ranma pivoted and weaved her body around the energy blast. Aerial movement and control, she's never been more grateful over being taught that simple but effective skill set. Her body graceful turned in the air, landing atop a tree branch while she watched her reflected attack create a sizable crater in the ground.
Okay Saotome, use that head of yours. The asshole relies on either evading, running away or turning back your own attacks on you. He's faced foes close to that before. She can figure how to turn this her favor, somehow. Just like every other fight.
Think back to the other points in this fight. Every time Gojo displaced himself away or to Ranma. There was always a moment where he moved. How to get close enough to him to actually do damage? How to close the distance?
...
... Risky idea, but a risky idea's better than no idea and surrendering! Here goes nothing.
Bouncing off the tree branch, snapping it off from the force she put into jump high and fast, Ranma looked as if she was going to try the tried-and-true method of an onrush of one-twos that worked so well last times. Fist outstretched as she continued soaring towards Gojo, she waited and waited and waited for the right moment. The right space between the gap.
Ki control, and especially learning techniques like the Mōko Takabisha, is a very useful tool to have. Especially since A.) Focusing it in one spot, i.e. through her palms, isn't the only way a martial artist can exude it into an attack. and B.) Condensing and concentrating it into a beam isn't the only way she can project it. Ranma had always done the Mōko Takabisha by blasting it through her palm, she's never tried it in other manners...
... But what kind of martial artist, and practitioner of the Saotome Branch of Anything Goes Martial, would she be if she never adapted or improvised?
So she focused and concentrated, putting all her pride and confidence in this one move. Out of the fist, one second was just knuckles. The next, a large orb of ki materialized all at once right in front of her fist to fill the gap between her and Gojo. The orb was massive, obscuring Gojo from Ranma's sights and most likely the vice versa too. Ranma was banking on her assumption that the attack would be big enough to complete the distance and smack Gojo the second it came to existence, and the hope that the other wouldn't expect or suss out her plan.]

Limitless. The neutral form of Infinity, that even now, exists wholly around his person. As Ranma throws her fist of ki at him in a split second maneuver, his Six Eyes informs him of her movements even when he can't see past the orb, which collides with Infinity, the energy seemingly...stuck in place, unable to move through the vast infinite space that exists between it and Gojo himself.
For a moment, Gojo leaves it stuck in place there, long enough to give his opponent a moment of confusion, before teleporting once more. With Gojo moving out of place, the ball of energy is free to move once more, and it fires off into the air, only for Gojo to reappear in front of Ranma a moment later, aiming two fingers at the girl with a smug grin on his face. ]
Boom.
[ Much quicker than before, pulsing red energy fires from his fingers once more, erupting in a repulsive force in the blink of an eye, intending to send Ranma flying. ]
no subject
[Obscured by the view of her own attack, Ranma's unaware of what the other could be up to. Like she's barely been able to make heads or tails over what the hell Gojo's doing to begin with. Was it simple superhuman speed that makes Ranma's whiff him, or something else?
She'll have plenty of time to think about it where she's going. Before she's able to process Gojo's cocky face was in front of hers, propulsion had stepped in to say sayonara. Trail of red flew off into the distance like a pigtailed firework, whistling through the air accompanied by her reverberating yells that fade with every second...
BOOM!
Gojo, assuming he's still where he's at, would see a large smoke cloud kicking up from the freshly made crater in a field. The very crater where a bruised and battered Ranma laid, hissing in and out. That... really fucking sucked. That's another crater to add to the growing list of caldera she's caused from falling terminal velocity.
Just gotta walk off the pain and pretend she doesn't feel anything. Grabbing onto the rocks, Ranma made her way out, crawling out of the massive hole. Damned cocky bastard...]
no subject
Still, he can't help his gloating smile as he touches down next to her, hands behind his back. ]
Walk it off. You're sure to do better next time! If you let me train you, that is.
[ Yeah, this was kind of about that, too. ]
no subject
[Ranma wasn't even surprised the bastard came down to show off his smarmy grin. Gotta be a sore winner and everything, don't he? What did surprise her, however, was the offer. That quickly jolted her senses back to a hundred, though she still wondered if her head was a little rattled from cratering the earth.]
Train me?
[Asked incredulous, with a cocked brow raised. Her crystal blue eyes scanned over the man, trying to suss out whatever he's getting at here, trying to pinpoint whether or not this was a joke. Though know her track record with to-be mentors, it probably isn't...]
Why the sudden offer?
no subject
Maybe they're not in danger from curses or sorcerers here, but there's still plenty of reason to see them reach their fullest potential. ]
It's what I do. I'm a teacher, and you can always get a little stronger. So, you in?
[ If she's not interested, it's fine, but it's a limited time deal. ]
no subject
The martial artist pondered for a second, taking in the other's words. On one hand, she really doesn't care for his guts right about now. Hell, the whole reason this fight started was over him being butthurt she gave his GF a (in her opinion) moderately average and not terrible score.
... At the same time, it isn't like that petty retaliation isn't unfounded in her mentors. Rather, it's pretty much on par for all of Ranma's teachers. That, and her martial artist code dictate that she follow and study any and all technique. Maybe she'll learn something from him she can pick up eventually. What does she have to lose, besides possibly her time.]
...
[Out of her sleeve, slid a simple thermos. Ranma unscrewed the cap, held it over her head, and poured the contents over her. Nigh-instantaneously, as the scalding water sizzled down Ranma's body, she shifted in the blink of an eye. Going from a tiny redheaded girl to the raven-haired guy Ranma was when the battle started. He despawned the thermos and shrugged, resting his arms behind his head.]
Why not? Been a while since someone taught me anything.
[Must've been here too long, cause he's actually missing his old man's lessons right about now.]
no subject
Hey, you're smarter than you look! Good choice.
[ A choice he may question...but Gojo's grin is undoubtedly sincere, as he reaches over a hand to slap against Ranma's shoulder. ]
Great! I'll be in touch. Oh — and if you call my pookie average again, you'll get a repeat of today's lesson! Got it?
[ And that's all he has to say on the matter...before he's teleporting away again. ]
🎀!!!
... Did he unironically call his lover pookie??? Who tf does that without the hint of feeling shame. Ranma made a face at that, his own sense of dignity taking the brunt from the second-hand disdain, before trying to slap -- and fail since Gojo dematerialized before him -- the hand away.]
What did I sign myself up for...?
[Breathing out a sigh, Ranma turned on his heel and made his way back to his cottage.]
