Video // Mi Casa es tu Casa
[Ranma had disappeared for a short time, not making himself seen by anyone he's gotten acquainted with. Last anyone'd seen him would've been a few days ago.
Come present day, a video feed coming from his username would pop up on the network. Opening it would display an image of a humble, homely cottage, and a familiar voice.]
Ain't it nice? Figured it was time to get myself a place all to myself. It's nothing fancy, but it's a roof over my head. Oh! There's something here I've been working on for the last few days.
[Heading inside, the video showed Ranma opening one or two doors, walking down a small hallway until descending down some steps. Those watching would get a viewing of Ranma's shoes hastily treading down the stairs, before panning up to show what looked to be a DIY training hall made out of a basement. Miscellaneous equipment and objects could be seen scattered about. Mats, cinder blocks, wooden post, anything one would picture belonging to a dojo.
The shellphone is propped down on the floor, so Ranma could walk in front of the frame. Instead of the usual red silk shirt he normally wears, he's instead dressed in a dogi.]
It's not as great or spacious as the dojo back home, and it's still a work-in-progress, but it'll do. Any of you wanna swing by and train any time, you're welcomed to. Just a head's up though I only have the few-- [He tugged the dogi.] uniforms, they may not be your size. None of the stores here had these in stock, so had to make them myself.

Man, lotta kids asking him to train with them. It's a little touching. He did get the impression from the last encounter that the boy was stronger than he made himself out to be, despite saying he wasn't a fighter. Plus, he did ask Gohan to teach him how to use ki to fly a month or so ago, so it's a fair trade.]
Don't see why not. C'mon over, the place's in Eltrut. Ya' can't miss it!
[In the meanwhile, Ranma goes outside and sat atop the roof, waiting for the half-Saiyan's arrival.]
> [action]?
[He wasn't expecting to be that quick. Is he ready to train now? ....Well, he's going to have to, it'd be rude to turn down his future teacher's offer already. He'll just have to bring his best to the table!]
...R-right! I'll see you there!
[He'll do as requested. He got a decent view of what the place looked like. It didn't much like what you'd expect from a dojo, but... Then again, Master Roshi operated out of a little beach house in the middle of the ocean. Maybe this is how all great masters get their start? Regardless, it doesn't take him long to locate the place. In fact, if Ranma was observant and had good eyesight, he may have noticed Gohan in the sky prior to his arrival, scouting out the land from above trying to locate the cottage.
But when he does approach, it's from the land, walking up to the building and calling out to Ranma from the ground.]
Hello!
Action!
Oh well, there's no time like the present! Observation and eyesight is something needed when you're a martial artist pushing your limits. That is to say, yes siree, Ranma spotted an airborne ankle-biter advancing towards his humble abode.
Did he want to keep his ability to fly on the down-low, or simply to conserve energy? Who knows, and honestly, Ranma didn't care to try and pinpoint the why. He waved down at Gohan before sliding off the roof, landing in front of the boy.]
'Sup. Have a nice flight?
no subject
Umm... Yeah.
[Gohan watches as Ranma slides off the roof and lands in front of him. Gohan remembers his manners, so he bows his head and introduces himself, having no idea they've met before.]
My name's Gohan. Thank you very much for agreeing to train with me!
no subject
Ranma, and don't mention it.
[Polite kid. Lot of kids Gohan's age can be brats at times, so it's nice to meet one with a mote of respect.]
So, what did ya' need help training on?
[... cause frankly, he wasn't expecting anyone to actually take up his offer right away. Planning and foresight isn't really his purview.]
no subject
[For a moment, it almost seems like he's putting the two together. He's an intelligent kid, after all, exceptionally so.]
....Huh. I met a girl named Ranma when I got here. She seemed to be a pretty good martial artist too... I guess it's a more common name than I thought!
[Says the kid from a world where everyone's name is a pun...]
...A-Anyway... I don't know if I necessarily need help with something? I'm just... [He grows a little sheepish now, scratching the back of his head.] ...I'm not very good at training on my own, so I thought maybe it'd be nice to have someone to push me...
no subject
[There's a second where Ranma thought he'd be able to fit the pieces together. So when he didn't, even despite all the coincidences, Ranma did his best to not balk. He can't tell if he should be thankful or disappointed for that.
Doesn't matter in the long run. Whether Gohan knows or doesn't know isn't going to affect anything. Ranma continued on, placing a supportive hand on the half-Saiyan's shoulder.]
We can start with the basics and work up from there. You're in good hands with me teachin' you.
[Luckily for Gohan, Ranma's a lot nicer in terms of training kids. Comparably to Mr. Piccolo, Saiyans and Ranma's own father. That doesn't mean he's going to be soft on the kid.]
First off... [Taking a few steps back, Ranma gestured his hand in a c'mere motion.] Hit me as hard as you can.
no subject
Umm... I'm not sure that's such a good idea...
[That's said with concern in his voice, not any sort of cockiness.]
no subject
He gave a lax smile, waving the younger boy's concern dismissively.]
Pfft, I can take whatever you got in you! C'mon, give me your best shot, let me have it!
[... He did, bare minimum heeding Gohan's solicitude, move aside from the front of his house. He just bought the place, he doesn't need to start putting holes in it.
once again ranma continues to brush between testing the death mechanics of the game]no subject
...Okay... I won't hold back!
[That's a lie, he's absolutely holding back. He has no intention of going Super Saiyan for this, much less anything beyond that. He is taking this seriously though. He drops down into a fighting stance, one learned from years of training under both Piccolo and his father, and pulls back his his right fist. If Ranma is adept at sensing ki, he may or may not notice Gohan's ki starting to swell exponentially. But even if he can't, he might notice some of the physical effects, Gohan's muscles tightening up and the air around him starting to heat up.]
...Haaah...!
[Then Gohan lunges with a straight jab aimed for Ranma. There's a lot of speed to it, and just as much power. Regardless of whether Ranma takes the hit head on, blocks it, or decides to dodge, a shockwave follows from the force of the punch like a massive gust of wind, causing the treetops behind Ranma to shudder and shake.]

As Gohan got into a stance, Ranma went into one of his own, learned from his own decade worth of training. Ready for whatever the kid had to give. Although Ranma's ki sensing is nowhere as great as those who can in Dragon Ball, he does have a vague read of it given he one time woke up from being knocked out after feeling Ryoga's ki dropping. Even without feeling the overwhelming surge of power permeating, the physical effects were hard to miss.
He almost didn't have time to react. Were it not for sensing Gohan's power rising and his own ki's danger sense, Ranma would've had a really bad time. The teen raised his arms to block Gohan's straight jab, gritting his teeth with a loud hiss as his body skidded back. A trail of dirt imprinting in the ground followed him as he went back a couple of feet. Suddenly, he's a lot more thankful he moved out of the way of his cottage. Otherwise, he would've crashed straight through his own door.]
Phew! [Heaving a breath, giving his arms a shake to get rid of the sore sensation, Ranma looked at Gohan with a mixture of awestruck and pride.] Packed one hell of a punch there, kid.
no subject
Th-thank you!
[He gets embarrassed a little at the praise, scratching the back of his head as a blush forms on his cheeks.]
no subject
That said, holy hell, what the heck is this kid??? Ranma's met plenty of fighters who's relied on being vastly stronger than him in the brute strength department, but a lot of them aren't even human. Is this kid...?
No, speculate later. Focus on the training. Rubbing the bruising on his arms away, Ranma flashed a smirk and returned into his stance.]
No need to be so modest there. Especially since I still need to see more. You can throw a punch well, but how well are you at--
[Kicking off the ground at breakneck speed, ending up just a feet or less away from Gohan.]
--dodging them!
[Ranma's arms rushed forward, hands balled to fists, traveling their way to land a hit on Gohan. He's not really going all out, on account of both not knowing the full extent of Gohan's prowess and how much he himself needs to go to catch up, and that he's still taking it easy on the boy.]
no subject
Wh-whoa!
[Gohan's body moves quickly to avoid the blow, his torso shifting to the side just enough to avoid taking the hit while minimalizing movement as much as possible.
Somewhere out there, Piccolo is smiling with pride. Not that he'd admit it.]
no subject
Impressive movement for someone who said he didn't fight. Time to test his reaction and spatial awareness! The volleys of punches weren't letting up for a second, except for one moment, when Ranma decided to try and catch Gohan off guard by swinging his leg for a kick into the boy's side just as quick and out as his punching.]
no subject
You're really strong...!
no subject
Flattery won't help ya' win this.
[Ranma responded, giving a cheeky grin as his foot hanged there on Gohan's forearm. Much like Saiyans, adapting to any situation regarding combat is the basis of Ranma's fighting style. He could do this in his sleep. Putting force down, Ranma used his block foot as a lever of sort to hoist himself up and over Gohan's head, using the momentum to aim a kick towards Gohan's back.]
no subject
[That sort of ingenuity in combat is one of Gohan's greatest weaknesses, and truly what sets him apart from a genius fighter like his father. He sticks to what he knows works for him, and doesn't really know how to adapt on the fly. He sees the attack coming, but isn't sure how to react to it or how to try and counter it. All he can do is attempt to tense up his body to limit the impact of the strike and to maintain his balance.
Focused on his defense, however, Gohan has left himself wide open.]
Sorry for the wait!
This being training also meant that the volley of kicks he delivered into Gohan's back wasn't as excessive as he'd dish out on his usual sparring partners. Ten or twenty or so, all disguised as a single attack from the breakneck speed. Following up, Ranma went to sweep out the young boy's legs to knock him on his side.]
no subject
His chance was coming, thankfully. He takes the volley of kicks as they come, but when Ranma tries to sweep his legs out from under him, he reacts quickly, using the small window of opportunity between the attacks to leap into the air over Ranma's low kick.]
Haaaah!
[Quickly gathering his energy while suspended in midair during his jump, he releases a kiai, a shockwave tremoring through the air outward from his body as he attempts to blow Ranma away from him. Anything to get some space between them so he calibrate his actions here.]
