three 🔧 it's been how long?! (slightly backdated to the beginning of the month, i hate covid)

[Whew. Has she ever felt so rested? She certainly doesn't remember the last time she slept so well! Her little shellphone tells her what time it is, so Mid grabs it to check it and... what is... that date....?! WHAT THE FU—]

Okay. I can't be going crazy and the date today on this shellphone isn't really the date, right?! And if it is, what the hell happened while I was asleep?!

[:') being in a sleep bubble really fucks with you.]

[He can only sigh with a rueful smile and shake of his head.]

Food I can give, but letting you test your mettle against a fleet, I must object.

[A light poke to her head.]

Besides, if it's a challenge you need, there are several projects that you could use your brain for instead.

[He sees that look and just smirks because he knows.]

You can eat first at least. But I've been working on something called a "heat sink"—captures heat and help keep things like machines and electrical devices cool so they don't overheat. I've got it mostly done, just have to fine tune it, but I was trying to find ways to use it.

Thought you might be able to come up with a few ideas.

Aye, was thinking the same.

[A grin as he answered exactly how he thought she would.]

Might need to make it a bit bigger—[Or a lot.]—but I imagine you would be able to figure it out.

[Just like the old days, where he'd make something for Mid to turn into something else, usually for the better.]

[Just a tap to her nose.]

Not this time. If I leave you alone you'll have only eaten the words on those prints and not the food in front of you.

[HE KNOWS HER because he's the exact same. Even if he's starving, if there's something interesting for him to read or work on, it's as if that hunger is forgotten.

Now slinging his arm around her shoulder to walk her out to the dining hall.]

Now whether we behemoths I'm not sure, but we should have something to fill that stomach.
