Hail, fellow riftfarers:

I write today with a few... wonderings, you might call them. As a few of you may know, my occupation prior to my arrival was that of an innkeeper, so I've found myself rather curious about the state of the hospitality industry here.

I'm particularly interested in hearing from those of you who have rather taken to a life at sea since arriving here, and who have formed crews and the like. If you've a moment to write back, I would appreciate it so very much and would be happy to answer any questions you may have in turn!

  • How often do you come ashore to rest at inns or taverns?
  • What amenities would you most like to see in at an inn?
  • What sort of food or drink do you find yourself seeking most when you're ashore?
  • What type of entertainment would you be most interested in during your stay?

I realize I'm adding to a rather plentiful collection of questionnaires and inquiries here... or... innquiries?

No, I rather regret writing that.

Anyroad... well, I suppose that's partly what this network is all for, hm?

Thank you for your time,
S.H.

P.S. This is much more of a personal inquiry than a professional one, but... for those of who you have come to care for warrior cats... what are some things that you've found to be very successful with building trust with them...?

I'm more than willing to work and earn my keep and stay at one.

[Pretty much have been having to do that for most of his life, since his old man's allergic to the concept of honest work.]

You're planning on making your own inn?

I've never sang on one before, but watching people in a drunken stupor make asses of themselves screeching their lungs never stops being hilarious. People've been making modern tech from back home, so it can't be that much of a pipe dream. Still would need CDs or songs to play on it though...

Whatever I can get my hands on, I'm not that picky. I can kill time with any genre long as its not something boring like romance. Comics are nice too, and I've read a lot of medical books too for the arts.

[Though the latter's more so for practical means than entertainment value=, like knowing the proper points to strike or avoid causing serious damage, and basic first aid.]

[That got a smile out of him, complete with a light titter. Ok or no, she can be funny when she wants to be.]

I wouldn't mind busting out the old singing chops if it means a free room. Don't expect me to make a fool of myself on stage though, cause I don't wanna brag or nothing, but I'd say I can sing pretty well. Unlike Pop.

[He's seen his father over do it with the sake and get his hand on the karaoke machine one time. Best train wreck he's ever witnessed in his life... when the ringing in his ear subsided.]

Mhm, typically. Though I've managed to get my hands on a few comics from when me and Pop traveled to America before. They're pretty epic, though I haven't seen anything like those here either.

[Spending time in a world like this really makes you miss things from home. Like TV. And movie nights.]
