Hail, fellow riftfarers:

I write today with a few... wonderings, you might call them. As a few of you may know, my occupation prior to my arrival was that of an innkeeper, so I've found myself rather curious about the state of the hospitality industry here.

I'm particularly interested in hearing from those of you who have rather taken to a life at sea since arriving here, and who have formed crews and the like. If you've a moment to write back, I would appreciate it so very much and would be happy to answer any questions you may have in turn!

• How often do you come ashore to rest at inns or taverns?
  
• What amenities would you most like to see in at an inn?
  
• What sort of food or drink do you find yourself seeking most when you're ashore?
  
• What type of entertainment would you be most interested in during your stay?

I realize I'm adding to a rather plentiful collection of questionnaires and inquiries here... or... innquiries?

No, I rather regret writing that.

I wonder how Great Grandmother Bemere started out with the Elderflower... There's so much we don't know about how it came to be...

If that is the case, then I haven't yet gotten to it. No one else has really bothered to rifle through the scores of journals in the study...

[ He might recall that, back at the hotel, Sumina spent long whiles simply cataloging her family's works in her suite. Some were very prolific writers, but no one else has bothered to look back at their history as much as she has... or had. ]

I suppose it doesn't really matter... It's not as if we're trying to recreate my family's inn.

[ Which... well, if she'd been brought to this place before all the time she'd spent at Hotel Caelum, she could easily see herself attempting as much. But now, after everything... she wants to build something of her own. ]

[ At this point, he doubts she'd be happy building someplace exactly like her family's inn. It might be her favorite place in the world, but she didn't make it. It's been shaped by hands that came before her, and here...she has the chance to make something all her own.

Something even better than the Elderflower, for all it will come from Sumina and only Sumina. ]

[ All on her own... but not quite. She has a few acquaintances - maybe even friends - she can count on, here, and Satoru, too. Perhaps it was like that for Great Grandmother, too. Perhaps she built a place to reach new worlds and welcome visitors from every which where - but maybe it was also about giving her friends a place to rest their weary souls on their travels.
