This last moon or so I've been speaking to several people about magic and the ability to use magic. Now I understand we all come from varying stars - worlds, realms, whichever you prefer - and the laws governing such arts may differ.

Thus I find myself curious about how others are able to cast their spells. I certainly wouldn't mind an exchange of knowledge on the topic. In fact, I've already offered to conduct some lessons to some individuals here as an experiment, of sorts. I, myself, am no great mage but I am capable enough, I should hope.

Aether, in the most simplistic of terms, is the life force of all things. It is energy.

Where I come from it is possible to draw upon the ambient aether and use it.

I guess that might work then. Still, here. I hadn't considered it, being in a whole new world and all, things like that.

[Whether Malevolence might also be an issue here. Not that he is sure he could do much if anything about that here, without Lailah. Without the other seraphim he has pacts with. But even so. At the least, he is curious to maybe try learn more about this magic. It might be useful.]

But I'd be curious to at least give it a go?

It doesn't feel all that different to me. Drawing upon ambient aether is natural. This is a world where magic does exist, yes? That has to come from somewhere.

Come on by when you so desire. We can give it a go at least.

I guess. I just hadn't considered what it really meant in regards to being able to figure other people's magic. Like learning other people's magic. I'm not sure what I can do can necessarily be taught exactly but if learning from others might be useful, might help. I'd be keen to try!

I figure why not try? These tattoos should be tested to see what their limits are, yes?

Right! I was only thinking they might help me get back my abilities from home. Not that the tattoos might let me learn new things as well. That makes them even better!

To be fair, I have yet to test anything new myself. Mayhap I just need suggestions.

I'll let you know if I think of any. But I definitely want to try and learn more myself! There's so much potential here, to learn and do things we couldn't back home!

Oh? Are you saying you are unsure yourself? Nothing you've always wanted to try?

Going invisible does seem fun. Probably a lot of other stuff that I only thought about, imagined or was just in books or something back home that might be possible with magic here.....!

What other things have you thought about?

Ah, mostly just from watching the stuff the seraphim can do with their elements. That I'm still kinda figuring with the whole armatizing thing in battles. That is, ah, I can sort of combine with one of them and make use of their abilities to help out each other in a fight. Or, so far it's mostly just been in battles I've done it.

Pardon? You combine with these friends of yours?

Yeah. Ah, I haven't really explained it much. I mean. Back home. It was something more recent and most people can't see or hear or talk to the seraphim in the first place like I can. But, yeah. Something like that? I mostly do it in battle. To make use of their abilities, their different elements.
