Video | Lion and a Cat?
Type: Video
Sender ID: sunsetking (Leona Kingscholar)
To: Public
Subject: Lost pet?
Warnings: N/A
[The feed opens, revealing Leona looking a bit disgruntled (maybe even defeated) while there's a strange two-tailed cat? sitting on his shoulder. The little creature seems comfortable on its perch even as Leona seems conflicted about it.
But he sighs.]
Anyone missing a pet or anything?
[That's it. That's the video.]
[ooc; Given permission by
bloodthirstydawn to use Kirara for this post!]

A yōkai.
[Stated simply, like that's the most obvious thing everyone'd know about.]

[Use words everyone can understand.
He reaches up to pet Kirara when the little demon ‘mrrrows’ again.]
no subject
Spirit, demon, yadda yadda.
[That good enough words for you to understand, cat boy?]
no subject
Thanks. What exactly is a nekomata then?
[Be more specific with your types of demons, herbivore.
Kirara just looks curious.]

There's different kinds from what I know of the stories. Ones in the mountains that are large and eat people. But that one--
[Ranma pointed at Kirara, though from Leona's perspective, that might not be too clear.]
--'s small enough that I can wager a guess it's a domesticated one. Probably someone's pet cat who died and transformed into one. Still eats and abducts people though. According to the legends anyway. I've never seen one in person before, just a bakeneko.
[Horrible time that was, 0/10, would not go through it again.]

He raises a brow at the point. Are you trying to call him a demon, too?]
Sounds like you've had a bad experience with one.
no subject
Scoff, he rested his arms behind his head and gazed off to the side.]
Wasn't a pleasant one.
[So yeah, a bad experience is right.]
no subject
He has to hold back a snort.]
Is that why you've been avoiding looking at her this whole time?
[Kirara mewls at Ranma again.]
no subject
Forcing his eyes back on the screen, keeping an equanimous posture.]
I haven't been. There's just more interestin' things to look at than some two-tailed cat.
[Liar.]
Are you going to keep it?
no subject
Really now?
[He doesn't believe you.]
If her owner doesn't show up and claim her.
no subject
Yes.
[Believe whatever you want, hairball.]
How long are you giving them before you go finders-keepers?
[He doesn't really care what Leona does or doesn't do with it. Same time, he'd feel like a prick for not at least caring a little that someone might be missing their pet, cat or not.]
no subject
[That's all the kindness he's going to give to the owner.
Listen. There's no need to pretend to care here. Clearly, the owner isn't up for the task of watching over the little demon.]
no subject
[Ranma isn't being sarcastic or a prick here. If the owner can't be bothered to see the public message, then the nekomata's up for grabs.]
no subject
[A shrug. He's all up for keeping her at this rate.]
