[Visible on camera would be two different dolls- the Substitute Doll, and the Poké Doll side by side, the Substitute nearly twice as large as the Poké Doll.
Then there was a sleeve as Turo picked the shellphone up in order to zoom it out so he was finally visible as well just behind the desk the dolls were sitting on.]
Hello, I am Professor Turo- the same one mentioned on one of the MANTA board quests for those that have given it a look. I am requesting help in order to test two objects very common in my world, and often used to escape dangerous encounters with creatures known as Pokémon- or simply avoiding a fight with a wild encounter if not wanted. This is to collect data, so that I may make future iterations of these two items better suited for this world.
I do not doubt there are some out there that would rather avoid harming a creature that feels it necessary to defend itself or its territory, given we are the ones stumbling into their territory more often than not.
Also, I felt it would be easier to put a face and ID to the name, given many have yet to meet me, and for those who wish to collect their reward in turn for whatever data may be collected from testing. Far easier for those who may have questions about the Dolls themselves as well.
[Don't mind the odd robotic creature just barely wandering into the bottom of the frame. It's fine.]

Which honestly? Dojima thought was a smart idea. Who knew what these creatures could do, and if there was a way to avoid either animal or person from getting hurt, all the better.
"Gotta say, that's a pretty smart idea, Turo." No wonder the guy was a Professor. Though, also...
Stepping in closer, he leaned down to take a better look at the plush toys.
"...These look well made, did you make them yourself?"
...For now, ignoring the Robot in the Room. One... thing at a time.

Turo did pick up one of the substitutes from where he had most of them piled together, turning the green doll over in his hands slowly.
"I did, once I was able to find material that could work for the different purposes. It took a little time."
It didn't hurt that Turo didn't have to spend much money for his own needs and could save up here and there when purchasing a certain thing was needed. More so to make them easier for people to carry on them, make them compact in order to be easily tossed and only expand then.
"I plan on doing some rounds of hands on testing myself as well."

"... I don't know much about this sort of thing..." Cute things, namely.
"But... I feel like if I brought this home for my daughter, she'd love it." A soft chuckle, looking up at Turo with a wry smile.
"...And a teen I know back home would be thrilled to see a guy like you able to make toys too." Give him some reassurance Dojima felt he could use, some days. He tilted his head a bit at Turo talking about testing...
"Want me to come with you when you do?"

... Which was probably why there had been a rise of Benette during one period of time. Abandoned dolls were most certainly abundant in number when interest had been lost in them in favor of other things. Ah—
Turo held the Substitute Doll in his arms, the side of it rested against his chest, in a more relaxed sort of posture being assumed- "I assume they have an interest in creating such things themselves, yes?"
His head tilted in thought, briefly.
"I would not be opposed, more so since some of it would mean purposefully intruding upon territories of wild creatures. Better to have another set of eyes for safety's sake," even if Turo was going to be carrying his... team. "Extra precaution would be for the best."

Well, sounded like something cutesy at least. Dojima glanced down again at the toy, trying to visualize what a living version of this creature could look like.
...In his head, he could only get as close as something like this stuff toy and a mascot suit like Teddie wore at Junes. And he wasn't sure that was what Turo meant.
Ah--
"Yeah. Kanji Tatsumi is his name. He comes off kind of rough around the edges, but he's a good kid at heart. His family owns the textile shop in town and he has a real talent for home made knit toys. They got popular enough that he actually sells them alongside his families fabric and outfits."
There was a slight tone of... not quite pride, but sincere happiness for the kid in Dojima's voice. That Kanji had settled down and stopped making his mom worry after everything... it was a relief.
...All thanks to Souji, really.
His hand reached out to touch the other toy, greener. Wondering what creature this one was based on.
"Yeah, my thoughts exactly. I'm still getting used to things here, so might as well dive head on into it."
...Okay, he really couldn't ignore the penguin sized robot in the room...
"...So, Turo...I have a question for you."

It made sense to make something meant to sort of 'disarm' a situation and allow for safe escape to be cute and even charming to the Pokémon it was being used with. Most of them avoided hurting Clefairy in the wild, and only those that were so very riled up and aggressive tended to ignore the Poké Doll.
Turo's head tilted slightly as he listened- Ah.
"That is very good for him, and I am glad he is able to indulge in such a talent- more so if it is one he enjoys," or so it sounded to Turo. "Some people struggle with allowing themselves that much, but the fact he sells them as well shows that hope he has found it in himself to do so." No matter the reason that he may have held back before.
All people were different, more so in their thought processes- and especially if emotions and sense of self were involved.
Turo tipped his head, glad at least Dojima was taking chances in getting used to this place; however—
"Yes?"

Dojima felt like he needed a white board for this...
"Yeah, he likes it... but where I'm from, men liking 'cute' things, or doing things like sewing and knitting is seen as..."
...How to word this delicately...?
"...Strange. So it was rough for him, especially since his dad died when he was young ontop of that."
At least that's what Dojima had put together. He wouldn't have told Souji about that, but another adult...? Easier for them to understand.
But, okay. The important thing...
Dojima pointed to the elephant in the room-- namely, the thing that was currently trying to look through his bag of spare clothing--
"...What the hell is that thing?"

A h.
Turo was still for a moment, hand paused where it had been. The last sight of Arven, the emotion and desperation in his— n the boy's voice. He had to mentally shake out of that- "I do not believe there are such worries where I am from.
"I am glad to hear he found his way, all the same."
His head turned as he looked down at Iron Bundle, letting a soft sigh escape him before walking over and moving down so he was sitting on his heels.
A hand reached out, tapping the Pokémon's side to catch it's attention.
"This would be Iron Bundle, what would be known as a Paradox Pokémon, mainly found in the area I have been studying back home."
