{Silver hair flies in the wind and soft white fur is gently ruffled against a pale cheek. Sesshomaru is quite a striking presence wherever he goes, bearing the signs of his good breeding in the form of two crimson stripes on his cheeks and a purple crescent moon on his forehead. His ears taper into delicate points, too, and his eyes are the color of rich amber. When he speaks, he is accustomed to being listened to and obeyed.

Thus his first appearance on the network is dramatic, yet brief.}

{His low voice brooks no argument and his expression is cold. He is difficult to read in the best of circumstances and his current predicament doesn't necessarily signify anything good.}

I am Sesshomaru, Lord of the Western Lands. What have you discovered about this world and the rifts?

Hey look, if you can do that? More power to you. We just ended a war where someone wanted to prove superiority through strength.

That didn't end well for that person.

If the war ended with them failing, they proved their weakness. {The sort of power he seeks has nothing to do with humanity thankfully.}

You cannot hold me to the same standards as other races. {You can't even hold him to the same standard as other demons at this point.}

Not that I would compare anyone, of course. No one is the same.

Is it? {His amber eyes flash gold and he tucks his hair behind a slender, pointed ear.}

Subtle differences hardly matter.

Yet it is those subtle differences that create the whole of who we are as individuals.

His eyes shift to red and he smiles - there is no warmth behind it. His face elongates and soon he is standing above the shellphone, peering down as...a giant demon dog.

[ Okay it might be a little bit of a surprise. Not that Claude is going to show it. You see a lady turn into a dragon once and - ]

Yeah, people turning into creatures is a little stale at this point. I'm not really sure what you're expecting from me here.

{He has no issue fighting a dragon to prove his might! Sesshomaru gives him a deep, rumbling bark and swipes at the shellphone with large claws. In a flash of light, he returns to his more human form.}

I'm only giving you an idea of what I am.

Which, to me, isn't really relevant to my point. We are the newcomers here and haven't done enough to gain the trust and rapport of the people who live here or have been here longer. Throwing your weight around because you feel like what you are sets you apart or by using a title that doesn't mean anything to these people might not be the best strategy.

Though now I've got to ask: how well do you play fetch?

Why should I gain anyone's trust or support? I speak to those stolen from their worlds; not those who call this world home.

I will find a way to return. I suggest others forgo their pride and follow.

Who is to say that those people aren't descendants of people that were stolen from their worlds? That seems very likely.
