its a really Golden time of the year that people in the west usually celebrate

like they eat and drink lots of food, give out tons of gifts and treats, and they have someone called santa claus who comes around every year to give gifts to people around the world

its really rad

Oh, I see.

It sounds like something similar to what I do back home. However, we don't have anyone named Santa Claus that gives us gifts. Although, we do have a story of a penguin who does that in Fontaine.

yeah that sounds pretty close! ours is usually a different person each year that takes up the mantle of santa claus
im not sure i really get it
its still tons of fun and good vibes!

but a penguin delivering presents to everyone sounds really dope!

Because it's not a real penguin, it's a story that we tell children to make him believe in the holiday spirit.

not sure how it works but its like each year someone takes on the whole spirit of santa claus for the holiday
and becomes santa

so each year we get a different santa
but they're still santa just a santa with a different look and personality


no way! theres always some truth to a legend! santa isnt supposed to be real either, but they are. there probably is a magic gift giving penguin back at your place.

A lot of people don't believe the gift giving penguin is true.

yeah! like that! they basically take on the essence of santa and the holiday and gain all the perks, abilities, and responsibilities of the job!

...I have to admit, it's pretty rare to have someone tell me to keep believing in that. A lot of people tell that fairy tales are something that people shouldn't believe in.

...Even if it is something as silly as a giant penguin giving out presents in the middle of the night is....

nah fairytales and legends are told for a reason its important to listen to them learn from em and believe in them

like i said im technically from like a myth

u can think of me as being like a spirit of a famous dead dude/legend
not a ghost tho
just a legend

lots of peeps call me kintarō or sakata no kintoki
personally i prefer just kintoki or better Golden

but that dont matter much here since most people have never heard of me! so dont sweat the small stuff

Even so, it sounds amazing to be a legend. It makes me wonder what it must be like.

Even though not that many people know you, it still sounds like it's a pretty fun. Especially when there are people who might know you too...

yeah its pretty freaking sweet! like every now and then i get to fight some really strong and scary dudes
other times i get to help people needing help

it aint all fun and games tho
sometimes bad guys from my past show up and theyre like totally not Golden!

but yeah its totes a lot of fun! as a servant i can drink and eat as much as i want
party as much as i want
and go on quests as much as i want
and not feel anything for it!
and like i said i also get 2 help out lots of people too! even if most here dont no who i am thats cool cause it dont change who i am
and it just gets a whole new group of people to believe in me and thats really GOLDEN!!

also who nos maybe u already have folks talking about u and what uv done back home 2!

In other words, you get to be a hero and you can save as many people as you want. You can fight bad guys and protect the weak.

It sounds like an amazing thing, no wonder you are a legend and a myth in your world.

…I wonder what else you can do.

yeah! i can do all sorts of other things too

one time i even got 2 control this giant metal machine mecha god to help fight against another god and save the world

Thats pretty amazing. Just how much can you do? I’m afraid that I haven’t seen much outside of Fontaine so I can’t really know what is outside of there.

anything that i need to do and more! if ur gonna do something then u gotta go full throttle with it

there aint anything wrong with staying in your neck of the woods theres a lot of good things about sticking to the stomping grounds that you know

but theres also nothing like traveling and going and seeing new places and things! the worlds a huge place and its still a shame to not get out and see it at least a few times
people aint really meant to sit in one place for to long anyway
drives them nutty

if u ever wanna try and go on a road trip here just call on me. im always down for an adventure!

Are you sure? I don’t know if I can handle it since I don’t explore too much. Outside of the ocean, I would much rather stay in one place. It makes me feel safe and not worry so much about what is beyond my capabilities.

sounds like youve already taken the first step 2 exploring!! the oceans a rad place 2 start the seas r just as vast as land lttle bro. but eventually u gotta pop outta that bubble tho and step outside ur comfort zone so u can keep growing.

Then what would you recommend I explore here? I’m not sure where to even start.

I like to think I’m trying my best in going outside of my comfort zone but I wonder if I can do more.
