[Nico doesn't know what else to say either... so he just looks around awkwardly.]
Oh, but not like, in a convenient way. There's this place called the Lotus Casino and Hotel, and time flows differently there. I was put in there by my Father in the nineteen forties and was taken out in the mid-two thousands, but for me, it was, like, a month.

[He wasn't too sure if he understood or not. He was aware that time travel could be a thing but...]
...And that was fine? For you at least?
no subject
I didn't notice anything. Not at first. But I was ten, and little kids can adapt to almost anything better than people give them credit for.
Plus, I had my memory erased so that probably helped too. It's complicated. My whole life is needlessly complicated.

[He said as he lowered his head. He really didn't know what else to say. He didn't mean to make it worse for Nico.]
...Um, do you want to take a walk? I didn't mean to make you upset but I know that walking can help you feel a bit calmer.
no subject
Hopefully.
[Small chance of that though. But he could deal.]
Uh... sure.
[Okay. Cute boy asking him to take a walk. Keep it together, di Angelo, he told himself. You just met him, and you don't even know if he likes boys.]
no subject
Um...I know there's a place we can walk around. We can walk by the port or by the ocean. And I know there are some stores around too if you want to look at them.
no subject
I don't know where anything is yet, so it'd double as learning my way around.
no subject
[He said before gesturing him toward the stores nearby.]
There's some cafes and some grocery stores if you ever want to buy anything. I know there are some restaurants too if you want to get some food. I personally like the cafes better since it's usually quiet...

[He's taking a chance the other knows what Italian is.]
Do we spend a lot of our time on boats or what? Like, what's the whole deal here?
no subject
[Said the boy who came from a pseudo French fantasy place.]
But no, not really. In this world, we do a lot of quests and commissions. Based on which team you are, we have to be careful on what you do since you can be in danger.
no subject
[Well, he shot his shot.]
Hmm... Sounds a lot like back home except no oracle giving out a prophecy.
no subject
[Or something?? Although, he couldn't help but give a small pause or two]
But um...I suppose you can say something like that. However, it's not too different from back home. Except there was a prophecy.
no subject
[Gods, it's been forever since he had some.]
Prophecies suck.
no subject
[He said with a mumble or two.]
...Yes, they do but I like to think the worse has passed in my country.
no subject
[The idea of getting real Italian food makes Nico smile at Freminet.]
I'm glad your country's doing better.
no subject
And I hope so too. I just...also hope that your world will turn out well too.
no subject
Well, there are no prophecies, but things can't really move forward without them. It's a double-edged sword. But I think we're due some down time.

[He wondered if he was too blunt for his own good. Looking toward the side and shifting his weight toward the other leg, he mumbled to himself.]
....If you want to tell me.
no subject
It just seems like life never takes a break.
no subject
[After all, if it was anything like what he was going through...]

[Another shrug.]
But I'm okay with that. I know what'll happen to me after death, so it won't be bad. I'll pretty much be doing what I do now: serving Father as his emissary.
no subject
[He said before fidgeting around with his fingers. He just hoped he didn't overstep his boundaries.]
...do you want to do it?
no subject
[There is a difference.]
It's a great honor. And it's pretty much what I'm doing now: helping the dead move on.
