[so maybe you're just browsing the network, minding your own business, when a new message pops on the screen. let's see, nothing out of the ordina--

what is that. no, really, Angel doesn't show himself on the network that often, so either you've seen him around, or you haven't. for those who haven't, he's a very tall, lanky, spidery-looking dude, with pink fur and pointy teeth and strange eyes. he has two (visible) sets of arms, and legs, on top of that! yeah, he's a real piece of work, this one. fortunately, he's not here to bother you about magic. he's here to bother you about other things]

The name's Angel, an' I got a little survey thingie I'm conductin'. Like, the most informal survey ever, okay? Lemme tell ya, I've been here a little while, an' it amazes me when I hear about other worlds different from my own. It's incredible, like, a lotta you go through stuff I couldn't even imagine.

My question is, out of all the people you've talked to, which world do ya wanna visit the most?

I'll go first! [as cool as Angel usually is, it's obvious he's passionate about what he has to say] This kid told me about a world with little animals or monsters, or whatever, that are called Pokémon! There are a whole bunch of different species, an' I wanna meet 'em all! [wait. he calms himself] ...They don't have cats or dogs, but there are Pokémon for those, I guess. Sounds fun, right?

So, what about you, huh? Lemme know about other worlds you've heard about while bein' here. Or tell me about your worlds. I just wanna see if anythin' beats Kieran's Pokémon-world.

To be honest, amazing as everyone's worlds are, I'd rather head back on home to mine first before going hopping back and forth.

That said, my world does seem to be a rarity - no humans at all! Unlike all the other worlds, which are chock-full of those things.

Nice t'meet ya, Della. I'm Angel. So, if ya don't have humans, are all the main type of "people" [air quotes] in your world also ducks? Or other animals?

Animals! Though ducks are the majority where I live, Duckberg.

But we've got roosters, parrots, beagles, pigs, chickens, pelicans, all types!

[Duckberg..... obviously, it's not a joke. but Angel would have laughed if he'd heard about this place from any other person. he nods, thinking about what she says. a bunch of birds, and then. beagles and pigs. huh!]

Sounds like a fun place! I'd like t'visit there, too. Though I'd probably stand out too much.

Well, I'm not gunna lie - my first thought upon seeing you is "giant spider youkai". Only native to Japan, and even then those dudes like to hide in secrecy and hopefully not eat anymore people.

Haha! Yeah! Blitzø an' me are from the same place, I think! Not that we'd met back there, but we hang out a lot here.

Sure! It's just a liiiiittle too wet for me, though, yanno? Like, I don't mind it, i'm havin' fun here. But it's a bit hard t'get from place t'place without wings, or somethin'.

You got me there. [ He's such a cheater with his wings. ] I'd fly less if standing on a boat wasn't so weird, but most people don't mind it.

Yer tellin' me! I ain't got sea legs, that's for sure. What kinda world are you from, though? Do all humans there got wings?

[haaaa, well Angel figured this question would come up eventually]

Oh, I'm from hell. An' that ain't a figure of speech. Literally, hell.

It's so unsettling. [ Maybe they would've trained him on something like this if he didn't just fly everywhere he wanted. ]

No they don't. My wings are my quirk. A quirk is a superhuman ability of some kind. Most people in my world have one, but it varies.

[ He knows no one knows what that means, he'll just save time and explain it. ]

[quirk. he met a kid with something like that when he first arrived, so Angel doesn't look all that confused. Bakky-go? where did you go?]

That's pretty cool, too, I guess. You mentioned one... Can ya only have one superpower quirk thingie at a time?

[ Aside from one guy, who is a villain and shouldn't be acknowledged- ]

Yeah, just one. You're born with it. Well, with the ability to manifest one, usually. Most kids get them when they're about four. Because mine includes physical mutation, I've had mine since I was born.

Damn! I wouldn't mind checkin' out yer world, either. Sounds kinda intense. But it'd be interestin' to at least see it.

Yeah maybe. Hasn't been a ton of villains here. I'm a hero, which is an actual job in my world. There's rankings and everything.

[angellust]

Huh? Hero rankings? Like, you mean, who's the strongest, or the fastest, an' shit?

[velocityraptor]

Not quite as detailed as that. Twice a year it's a whole thing, they make a huge event out of it. Your ranking is determined both by the number of cases you handle and complete, as well as your level of public support. Personally, I think public support is more important, but it's weighted a bit heavier on what you actually do.

Being the strongest of the fastest doesn't exactly guarantee anything, although speed definitely helps. [ He would know. ]

Then they parade around the top ten for the next six months.
