[so maybe you're just browsing the network, minding your own business, when a new message pops on the screen. let's see, nothing out of the ordina--

what is that. no, really, Angel doesn't show himself on the network that often, so either you've seen him around, or you haven't. for those who haven't, he's a very tall, lanky, spidery-looking dude, with pink fur and pointy teeth and strange eyes. he has two (visible) sets of arms, and legs, on top of that! yeah, he's a real piece of work, this one. fortunately, he's not here to bother you about magic. he's here to bother you about other things]

The name's Angel, an' I got a little survey thingie I'm conductin'. Like, the most informal survey ever, okay? Lemme tell ya, I've been here a little while, an' it amazes me when I hear about other worlds different from my own. It's incredible, like, a lotta you go through stuff I couldn't even imagine.

My question is, out of all the people you've talked to, which world do ya wanna visit the most?

I'll go first! [as cool as Angel usually is, it's obvious he's passionate about what he has to say] This kid told me about a world with little animals or monsters, or whatever, that are called Pokémon! There are a whole bunch of different species, an' I wanna meet 'em all! [wait. he calms himself] ...They don't have cats or dogs, but there are Pokémon for those, I guess. Sounds fun, right?

So, what about you, huh? Lemme know about other worlds you've heard about while bein' here. Or tell me about your worlds. I just wanna see if anythin' beats Kieran's Pokémon-world.

[He has no idea how, but maybe someday? Angel's a friend, after all!]

I'm doin' alright! Especially since I got some more'a my Pokemon here with me!

Really? How'd ya do that?

[that's cool, but also, how?!]

I went to the RAY Trade Centre and asked 'em! I dunno how they did it; I had to pay 'em a fee, then it looked like they did some kinda funky magic, and when they were done, they were able to grab a few of my Pokemon!

[angellust]

[Angel stares for a moment. he hasn't done that yet, but, then, it's not like he has many possessions back home that he wants to bring here. he even wants to spare Fat Nuggets from being in this place. if Fat Nuggets could fit down into a pokéball, it'd be one thing, but he cannot do that!]

Huh. Well, I'm glad for ya! Must be nice t'see yer buddies again.

[ohwowzers]

Uh huh, it is!

[He's genuinely happy he has some of his Pokemon here, even if it's not his whole team.]

Wanna see 'em?

[Angel opens his mouth to say something crass, almost. but then he stops himself]

You bet!

[ohwowzers]

Alright! Here, one sec...

[There's some shuffling as Kieran moves to an area with more space. Once he's found some, he holds the Shellphone as far away from himself as he can so the feed can show off his Pokemon.]

Alright, everyone! Come say hi to Mr. Angel!

[He opens their Pokeballs in a flash, and four creatures appear. One is Hydrapple once again, but there are three new Pokemon that appear, all looking curiously at the strange device Kieran is holding.]

[angellust]

[LOOK. LOOK AT THOSE GUYS. Angel is peering closely at the screen. is that a dragon-type, like what the other kid was mentioning? sure looks like an orange dragon. and... and a ferret? a frog?]

Whoa! You've really got all kinds!

[and they all fit into those little balls, too. incredible!]

Pleased t'meet'cha all!

[he waves to the camera]

[ohwowzers]

Uh huh! These're some of my best buds! This is Furret, Dragonite, and Politoed!

[The Pokemon let out cries of their own as they're introduced, all unique; Furret's is more of a ferret-like chitter, Dragonite's a friendly rumble, and Politoed's a happy croak.]

They've all been havin' a good time here so far!

[angellust]

[Angel will try to commit those names to memory. try. at least he can tell which is which. his eyes flick back to Kieran]

That's great! I'm glad they're havin' a good time, an' glad that you got some of yer team back. They're neat!

[ohwowzers]

Yeah, it’s really good havin’ ‘em back. I missed ‘em when they weren’t here.

[He frowns slightly.]

Though, the people helpin’ me bring my team over said bringin’ live creatures is hard magic, so I might not be able to bring all my Pokemon over.

[angellust]

All? How many do ya got?

[more than this?]

[ohwowzers]

[Give him a minute to count in his head.]

Well, my regular Pokemon team's got six, plus the ones in my box... so, fourteen? Which ain't a lot, but I know some who've got a lot more'n that in their boxes.

[angellust]

Damn! Fourteen seems like a lot already. You've got quite the collection, it sounds like!

[but wait a minute... what does Kieran mean by box? is it alright to keep animals in a box? is it like a cage? multiple cages? what about those little balls? oh boy, more questions for the professor!]

[ohwowzers]

Aw, that's nothin'. I know folks with way more Pokemon than me..!

[He rubs at the back of his neck.]

The next time I see ya I'll introduce 'em to ya! Right guys?

[The Pokemon around him let out affirmative sounds of excitement.]

[he is nodding excitedly]

Sounds good! I should see about bringing things from home, too! But I just have one animal, er, pet. An' he'd probably hate all the water here. He's way better off back at the hotel.

[ohwowzers]

Aw, really? Well, I guess if they're better at home, that's not too bad.

What kinda animal do you have? What're they like?

[oh boy. how should he describe his pet? he... he doesn't know about many pokémon to compare him with!]

Uhm, Fat Nuggets is a demon-pig! Which is... like a pig, but also a demon? Small, round.

[he makes the shape and rough size with his upper pair of hands]

Very pink, with spots, cute li'l beady eyes. An' a squashed nose an' curly tail! Absolutely darling!

[ohwowzers]

[Kieran thinks it over a bit, before his eyes widen and he nods.]

Oh, so like a Grumpig! That's a real cute one. I think my friend Lacey'd really like a Poke-- er, animal like that!

But uh... why'd you pick a name like that?

[that's a very good question]

Dunno... Was the first thing I thought of, I s'pose. I have a bunch of nicknames for 'im, too, like Nuggsie!

[Fat Nuggets is probably more reminiscent of a shiny Lechonk, but Angel will be able to tell Kieran later, if he ever sees a picture of one. he wants to know about Grumpig, though!]

Not me deadass forgetting Lechonk exists--

[Kieran actually chuckles at the nickname of "Nuggsie".]

It sounds real cute. I bet he really likes you. I take it he's like your best bud?
