[ good afternoon esco network!! today's video brings youuu...


and then drayton's arm coming into view to scoop this adorable noodle up and focus the camera on his face! which also brings into view the... three other dratinis draped around both himself...

and a very very unimpressed-looking kieran in the background. the dratini kieran is carrying is a cute shade of pink compared to its grey-blue siblings. ]

What's up! Man, we've had a fun couple of days. Turns out that whole Dragon's Gale thing doesn't mess around, even if the dragons aren't locals.

[ there is a slight strain in his cheery tone that might be attributed to the menacing dark aura kieran is giving off behind him while he says all this. ]

Long story short, we've ended up with this bunch'a baby Dratinis on our hands. They're cute as heck, and pretty well-behaved, but any Dragon-type that's gonna spend some time around humans should have some socialising. So we're givin' everyone a rare, excluuusive opportunity to interact with these adorable lil' guys while we, uh, decide what to do with 'em.

[ the dratini he'd picked up at the start makes a pleased trilling noise, one matched by the pink one kieran is holding. drayton smiles, still slightly strained, and lowers the camera so he's just out of frame and begins talking offscreen in hushed, but still audible tones. ]

Man, c'mon, at least say somethin'!

("Say somethin'?? This is your fault anyway! Why should I say anythin'??")

Again, how is this my-- ahh, hold on.

[ the feed ends with a clatter. ]

[ you know what you two can continue this conversation for a little because drayton's going to be giving kieran the most vindicated side-eye smirk for a long moment. yeah what of your dragonite, kieran??? where was he huh??? ]

Y-Yeah, but..!

[Kieran hesitates at Turo's question, shifting a little uncomfortably as he looks away, only to catch that look Drayton's giving him and shoot him the most irritated look right back. Wipe that heckin grin off your face Drayton!!]

W-Well, still, we appreciate the help. Takin' care of a buncha Dratini on top of our teams'll be a bit much...

There is little to 'but' when it takes two to create eggs, and truly a pokémon that wishes to will find the time no matter how watchful a trainer may be with their team. A reason that in Paldea trainers are taught to check their picnic baskets before packing up from picnicking.

[Can happen just that quickly, no matter what else was going on.]

I am very happy to help, and there is a very nice area within the sanctuary that they may be happy in- and easy for others to visit, including you. Being able to observe them will also be good, to see if being born here affects them any differently at all. Better to ensure their health, even though I know the both of you do well in raising pokémon.

Just little worries that comes with being a Professor, I suppose.

[ohwowzers]

[Kieran frowns, glancing to the side and idly tugging on that strand of his hair. Why does he feel like he's being gently reprimanded?]

Aw man...

[Sigh... It kind of sucks, but eventually he looks up and nods.]

Well, alright. And if you're willin' to look after 'em... I guess it's not all that bad. It was just all so surprisin' finding 'em...

[He'd be fine-]

It is always a surprise, and even here likely more of one where so few people know what a pokémon even is. Worry is only natural, but fortunately between the three of us I do not doubt these Dratini will grow healthy and strong.

[Along with those who helped socialize them, of course.]

I know just the place within the sanctuary.

[ohwowzers]

Y-Yeah... you got a point, Professor.

[When he puts it like that, Kieran feels a little better. He nods at Turo before turning to Drayton.]

Do you think that'll be alright for 'em? And we can go visit, right?

[fractales]

Just one more reason it is good to talk to others when you worry.

[And of course Drayton would have just as much of a choice in the decision of where the baby Dratinis went-]

Visiting them will be very easy, should you both decide that Cosmo Conservatory is a good place for them to grow.

[ he's contemplative for a moment, looking over at the pair of dragonites as well. then he nods. ]

Yeah, I think it'll be alright. Healthier to be in a bigger space, an' we can visit 'em without any problems. Prof knows what he's doing, after all.

I think the both of you you may like the area I have in mind for them; we did recently expand, while enhancing other areas.

[Cozy, and easy access for those coming to visit them.]

[Kieran’s heard of this Nature Preserve type area Turo works at, but hasn’t visited yet. If they got a new expansion, that would be nice alright… So he nods.]

Alright. Thanks, Professor! I was real worried for a bit there.

Really, and you are both welcome to explore the area as you wish; we are very open to the public for people simply to walk around. We have volunteers, and those who act as guards just in case someone does try to harm any of the creatures that call Cosmo Conservatory home.

Still, I look forward to you coming by and helping the Dratinis getting comfortable.
