Um, hi everyone! Chopper here.

I was just wondering about where everyone is from, and anything here. I mean, any illnesses or diseases? Some might be more local to this place, or back home where we were before, but I never know what might come up so I want to be prepared! Just in case. I'm a doctor, so I want to be able to help if someone gets sick, and I know I might not know of every single illness or disease. So....so please! If anyone is a doctor or knows of illnesses, here or back home, I want to learn as much as I can!

Not sure if there are any diseases unique to my world, though I know cancer is more common among boosts.

(No clarification, for the moment, on what a boost even is.)

Here there's a thing where people slowly turn into crystal, though the infection seems to be intentionally inflicted. I don't know of anyone who has gotten sick from handling thr infefted and there were people selling victims who turned into statues.

Cancer is when something goes wrong in some of the body's cells and they start forming tumors that impair normal function. Boosts are something specific from my world.

I don't actually know, but they act like an infection. Might be some kind of curse?

You weren't here for the illegal auctions?

hm. i see. so what is different about these boosts?

i have only been here for....i think a couple of months or so? there might be some things that were missed because of that or because of me being busy settling in and figuring everything out initially.

Probably the latter. You would have arrived around the time of the auctions. A lot of people were illegally selling people and animals that had been turned into statues. The process ...takes a long time.

Boosts are like my world's equivalent of mages or whatever, I guess. People take a drug that breaks a lot of stuff in the body and if they don't die they gain superpowers.

oh, right. that makes sense then. i guess i should be lucky to have avoided it. given i am a reindeer.

mages? oh! like magic, right? people that can use magic? some people back home have abilities, but it isn't magic, it's from these particular fruits. not from drugs. what sort of superpowers?

Reindeer, huh? Lots of animal people here.

Boosts aren't really magic, either, I mostly just say it that way because it's what people are used to. Most of them are just stronger or more durable than regular humans, but you can get people who are able to control fire, move objects with their mind, fly... stuff like that.

stronger or more durable? oh! some of that sort of sounds like the abilities the devil fruits back home can give. one gave someone the ability to control fire. another can change his appearance. another has a body like rubber, it isn't all like the human human fruit i had.

yes, that's right. it's why i look like i do. and i can get bigger too, like a human!

I don't think most humans can change size outside of growing up.

i don't think i've measured. it depends also on which transformation i use. but i can still fit indoors? if that helps? just, the size of a really tall person?

So can you turn back into a Reindeer, or are you stuck being humanlike?

i can look more human if i transform. depending on which one i use. one of them is more like a regular reindeer.

That's an impressive power. Do the changes hurt?

(One of the many purposes of the pain gate: to make it easier to use powers with that kind of drawback.

They had never needed it for that. Their own power was far less physical.)

hurt? no. they don't hurt. so you don't have to worry about that. it's fine.

oh. sorry, i thought you might be since you asked or mentioned if it hurt. that's all. either way, it's fine. it doesn't hurt when i transform.

But anyway, I'm not really an expert on diseases. I know there were some guys around who had a medical robot, might be best to try asking them.

Professor Turo isn't a doctor but he might also be able to tell you some stuff.

You can do some basics to treat minor injuries? Even that much can help a lot! I'm the doctor of the Straw Hats crew back home! I can help with various illnesses and diseases, injuries, surgeries, whatever I need to help with. I'm still learning, especially since ending up here, but. I want to do my best to help!

Yeah, I have first aid training. Pretty standard when it comes to heroes.

Sounds good, you should keep studying then. Sorry I don't have a lot of information about that, it's never really been my area of expertise.

I'm doing my best! I want to learn about this place in case any illnesses or diseases might be something I'm not as familiar with. Something that I haven't come across back home. But I know there are also people from different places here, so. I'm not sure if there might be other things I might need to be mindful of as well.

There probably is. There's a lot of different people from different places here. My quirk causes me to have some unique medical needs but fortunately I don't really have to do much about it?

What kind of medical needs? I might need to know, just in case you need help here.

That's right. I mostly protect people that I can, and help deal with villains in my world. There's not the same kind of laws here though, but I can help people carry heavy things and stuff like that.

I have avian-like bones, so if I break them it's a pain to set them, and an injury is likely to cause multiple fractures. I also have proper wings.

That's a good goal to have I think. I try to help them avoid getting hurt, but I know when I'm outmatched. Then I can bring them to you!

I'm not presently injured. I haven't even been close since coming here, so I'm not too worried about it.

It's alright, I can mostly handle myself. I'm really fast, it's hard to hit me. Best way to avoid injuries really.

I'm a bird but also not a bird. Mutations are a bit weird like that.
