...No more corrupt than any other modern government that functions as a democracy in my world. There's scandals, backroom deals, organized crime, 'favours'... but things... function, people can live comfortably, they're not starving. There's... transparency, I guess. Journalists can investigate, there's freedom of the press, people can vote for their elected officials...

[It's hard for him to gauge, because... he thinks that, but did he know? He was part of the Police-- ]

But I've learned about things that were even more... corrupt. Both in the past and currently... Dictatorships. One guy on top commanding and controlling everyone else, where everything benefits him.
