[ When Nimona appears on the shellphone, she's wearing a manta ray onesie and has an extremely big manta ray plush as her pillow. ]

I know some big terrible things are happening right now, but that's kinda the point of this. I just need a distraction, because I dunno if I'm gonna get much sleep anyway.

[ She'd rather be out there searching, breaking things... ]

Let's talk about our worlds. It can be about anything. Stories, legends, stuff that's happened to you personally, whatever. I'll start.

[ The shellphone is propped up. ]

My world is weird. We've got knights and a kingdom, but we've also got crazy levels of tech compared to this place. Flying vehicles, laser weapons, those sort of hologram screens. Don't ask me how any of it really works, I only know how to use it.

We've got royalty... though the queen was recently killed. Not sure who's gonna be in charge now. I don't pay that close of attention to what the humans do. And we've got our old stories too. Mostly about a monster and the woman who defeated it a thousand years ago and became a hero.

[ Nimona points at herself. ]

It's me, I'm the "monster". Not really a monster, though, just different from everyone else in my world.

Just because you could shapeshift that doesn't make you a monster. I think it's awesome!

[Then again. It's Hiro. Of course, the kid thinks that would be really useful and love something like that.]

....as far as stories. Oh! This one time, when I was younger, I made these rocket boots and I wanted to test them out, so I put them on Mochi, our cat. You should have seen Tadashi's face when he woke up and Mochi was right there hovering! It was hilarious!

[ She shrugs. ]

We were really living in the dark ages back then. Horse and buggy kind of days, you know? People were afraid of anyone and anything different from them.

[ And Nimona was as different as can be.

That makes her laugh. ]

Now I want to turn into a cat and try on these rocket boots myself! How many people do you think I could freak out?

[baymaxing]

Yeah. I get that. I got bullied all the time back home. Just because I skipped like four? years of school and everyone else in the class was way older.

[So. Even among humans who look the same. It still happens. It's not just you, Nimona. Trust him.]

They kinda freaked Mochi out. Got a little outta control. But it was hilarious watching Tadashi. I don't have the boots here, but I could probably figure something close enough. If you want me to try figuring some things for your shapeshifting some time.

It's not your fault your brain has way more wrinkles than some others.

[ Having smart friends just makes things better! They make awesome stuff and let you test it out. ]

Good thing I'm not Mochi, then. Man, you should have recorded it. Just so you could play back the whole event whenever you wanted. Shapeshifting toys! I would never say no to that. And I'd pay for it.

Right? Just because I'm smarter than them.

[At the least, he is getting more of a challenge at university. That he was accepted there. Had friends. Hiro is grateful for that.]

I should have. I was busy trying to control the rocket boots, though. But yeah? Come by sometime and we can plan something?

Have you ever had your brain scanned so you can see how many wrinkles it has?

[ This feels like an important question, but it's probably not. ]

Did the cat reach the ceiling? Yeah, yeah! You're over on Sora's crew now, right?

Uh. I dunno? Does Baymax scanning me count? He wasn't specifically scanning my brain or whatever, but.

[He laughs then, nodding to confirm he had moved from hanging around with Cid.]

Close. And uh, yeah, I'm with Sora and the others now.

Can Baymax tell you how many wrinkles your brain has? Is that a feature he has?

[ There are a few people she'd want to know how smooth their brains are. ]

Okay, I'll come pay you a visit soon.

Uh. I just know he scans people and can bring up their information. Their vitals and stuff. He could tell about my peanut allergy. Not sure if you mean like a scan of my brain specifically, though.

[But Baymax probably could scan someone's brain specifically. He was a healthcare companion after all.]

Yes, a brain scan! I wanna see brain scans.

[ Nimona doesn't get to interact with a lot of tech. Living in the shadows and all. ]

I guess Baymax could probably scan one of us and show you? If you were curious.

[He is a healthcare companion, after all. That should be in his scope of abilities. Hiro hasn't specifically figured needing to focus on the brain but he imagines Baymax should be able to.]

Sure. I just might need to tidy up a little.

Yes yes yes! I wanna see our brains.

[ There is nothing medical about this, she just wants to do this for fun. ]

Eh, who cares about mess? That just shows you've got a lived-in space. Unless you're tossing your dirty undies on the lamps.

I'll see if Baymax can do something like that for you. It's probably a thing somewhere in his programming with medical stuff. Scans or whatever.

[Yes, his space is a mess but not....to that extent of underwear lying around???]

Why would I toss my underwear on a lamp? No. It's not like that. Just...mess from stuff being spread around.

I'm gonna be over in two minutes, hang on.

[ SHE IS THAT EXCITED TO SEE BRAIN SCANS. A quick word to Zack that she's going out to have her brain scanned because it is night time and she's basically sleeping in his room right now. Absolutely coming over in her shark onesie.

Nimona doesn't know what boys have laying around. Cloud and Zack don't count because they're more adults and pick up after themselves. ]

I dunno, because hampers are overrated? Don't pick up any food! I'm hungry.

[baymaxing]

I'm hanging. Sure. Uh-huh.

[Hiro at least doesn't keep anything other than snacks in his work space. Not that he doesn't eat, but he doesn't like to get anything too messy near his work. He tries to at least keep things clean if not the most tidy. He'll be working as Baymax helps tidy things up a little, ensuring things are put away.]

I got gummi bears around here somewhere?

[ It's probably a jumble of video as she heads to the deck and sprouts wings to take flight, then wind noises. She keeps her shellphone the entire time. Hiro is much closer now that he's part of ULTRA PLUS as they're both on Paladin crews and she already visits them often.

So the crew is likely used to see her landing on deck. ]

Gummi bears are good, we can sneak into the kitchen to get more snacks.

[ She would have picked out food off a used plate or trash. ]

[Good thing Hiro is used to flying, from using Baymax back home, that the video doesn't make him nauseous or anything. He nods in agreement that there would be plenty of snacks in the kitchen if they really were hungry. Sometimes you do need more than gummi bears. Even Hiro has to agree to that.]

Yeah, there's more stuff in the kitchen if we need.

[ She heads down below deck, looking at the rooms. Some she probably knows... ]

Okay, now which door is yours? I don't wanna open a door to someone else's room.

[ Raiding the kitchen this late seems like it'd be a common occurrence on this ship of boys. ]

[baymaxing]

Here, this one.

[Hiro points out his room. It's fair enough to not want to go poking around. While Nimona probably knows most, if not all, of the crew, that doesn't mean they're all okay with something like that. With Nimona opening the door to their room. The kitchen is totally fair game, though, and Hiro is pretty sure she probably already knows where things like that or the bathroom are.]

[pinksidekicking]

[ She enters his room and moves to flop face first into Baymax. Gotta hug the big marshmallow and pretend she's not sad about her family being kidnapped. ]

Why is he so huggable?

[baymaxing]

Because of Tadashi. He's the one who initially made him. Probably designed it thinking of the kids he might treat. You know. If he'd had the chance to figure....expanding or something. Putting Baymax in hospitals or doctors or clinics or that sort of thing. My upgrades weren't so huggable. I made him armor to fight and fly.

[It's fine. Baymax is used enough to catching Hiro. So the robot merely braces himself and allows her to flop onto him, as he greets her.]

Makes sense. Kids would definitely like hugging him. So squishy! I like the non-huggable upgrades, especially fighting and flying.

[ She gives Baymax a good squish before letting go, returning his greeting. Then takes a look around Hiro's cabin. ]

So show me whatcha working on, tech boy! [ Nimona sound excited. ]

[baymaxing]

Yeah. I'm guessing Tadashi could have figured making more. But yeah, my upgrades I've been working on, I figured since I've been working on a new suit, I gotta upgrade him too. Make him a new suit.

[Hiro says, shifting to show her his plans. His ideas. She is probably one of the few who might understand his plans. So he doesn't mind showing her, gesturing for her to come over to see his scribbled ideas, as he continues working on one of the gloves for Baymax's new suit.]

[ Nimona scrunches in close to look at his blueprints - all of the ideas he has. Clearly, if she needs anything closer to the tech of her world, Hiro is the guy to go to. But for now, she'll give her input on some wild and crazy ideas that might ridiculously silly or potentially dangerous - for enemies. ]

[baymaxing]

[Hiro is happy to show her, though he may shoot down certain ideas. No, he is not giving Baymax laser eyes, for example. Or weapons that aren't just like. Rocket fist. Because that would go against his programming not to hurt people.]
