[ When Nimona appears on the shellphone, she's wearing a manta ray onesie and has an extremely big manta ray plush as her pillow. ]

I know some big terrible things are happening right now, but that's kinda the point of this. I just need a distraction, because I dunno if I'm gonna get much sleep anyway.

[ She'd rather be out there searching, breaking things... ]

Let's talk about our worlds. It can be about anything. Stories, legends, stuff that's happened to you personally, whatever. I'll start.

[ The shellphone is propped up. ]

My world is weird. We've got knights and a kingdom, but we've also got crazy levels of tech compared to this place. Flying vehicles, laser weapons, those sort of hologram screens. Don't ask me how any of it really works, I only know how to use it.

We've got royalty... though the queen was recently killed. Not sure who's gonna be in charge now. I don't pay that close of attention to what the humans do. And we've got our old stories too. Mostly about a monster and the woman who defeated it a thousand years ago and became a hero.

[ Nimona points at herself. ]

It's me, I'm the "monster". Not really a monster, though, just different from everyone else in my world.

Thanks, I worked hard on it.

The rift artifact that we're all supposed to be looking for is really getting work out. [ A small shrug. ] I've been here a year and a half and in that whole time, saw one familiar face for like five minutes before he was gone. Other people have a whole little group of friends from home. Not really getting my hopes up.

You must have, it doesn't seem like just a mask to me.

Ah-- you've been here for about the same amount if time as me, then. And you're right, quite a few people here have groups of friends and their own, familiar faces show.

It gives me hope that someone might show, one day. Even if it's only for five minutes. But I am sorry that your friend hadn't stayed for longer.

Sounds like I've got pretty perfect then! [ Cheery. ]

It's great here, so I'm not really in a hurry to leave - even if I had the choice. I think everyone on my crew has people from home, except me and one other.

I hope someone does show up for you. Some people are probably a bit lonely here. [ A shrug and a hum. ] It was an awkward five minutes. We had a really bad falling out from my point of view. It hurt seeing him.

It is very nice here, and more peaceful than home. I wish I could stay.

[She still believed that she has to go back eventually. There are those that rely on her back home and plenty of things that Enty wants to see and experience.]

I'm sure someone from home might show up eventually, regardless. [She does give a tilt of her head at the next words.] Were you two able to take the time to patch things up, at least?

I live long enough I could probably live here for as long as most human lifespans and still go back home someday.

[ After a pitstop in Cloud's world to live another lifespan out there. So there's no real rush for her, especially since she spent over a year believing there was nothing at home for her anymore. ]

Is there someone you want to see, in particular? [ A shake of her head. ] Not really. I spent months wondering what he wanted to say. Then I popped home for a short visit and came back after we patched things up there.

Someone from home that I would like to see? I suppose there are quite a few people from home that I would like to see, my sisters, my Commander, Belfast, countless friends...

[She wouldn't even mind if one of the fox sisters, or Tempesta girls show up.]

Thinking about what to say to someone you've had a falling out with can be difficult. Especially if your time with them is limited. Still, it sounds like you at least managed to make up with each other in the end?

Sounds like you have a whole hoard of people. Until this place, I could never really imagine having so many people I'd want to see again.

[ There was literally no one. ]

Yeah, we did. Just took him getting beaten up by the knights and me turning into a giant shadow dragon that rampaged through the city.

[Though there are some that she would specifically like to see.]

But that sounds like quite the story.
