[ The video opens to... the ceiling? With a fair bit of commotion in the background. Voices can be heard near the vicinity of the shellphone, suggesting its user is nearby, before an irritated sigh booms from the side. ]

—Why's it such a big deal, anyway!? It doesn't matter!

[ The jostled device shifts as a hand seems to reach for the camera, only for it to be snatched away just as small fists attempt to clamp themself around it.

Another sigh, but this time from a much younger voice.

"Aw, don't be like that, dad! It's your birthday! Just lettem know!"

There's a loud "tsk!" that follows, and long white hair flashes across the screen before the scene moves again. Almost as if... he had climbed on something? Higher? The world below looks a little smaller, but with that clarity comes the beaming face of Moroha. Her half scowling, half smiling face indicting her motives quite clearly.

"It's a big deal! Tell'em or I'll do it for you...!" ]

H- hey! Back up! Don't touch that—

[ .... Annnnd a "thunk!" followed by the shellphone toppling to the ground as Moroha sweeps in and scoops it up.

"Haaaappy birthday! Make sure to say it to'em, too—" ]

Morohaaaaaa!!

[ Before more rustling and the feed cuts off— ]

[ Who is going to tell him something like that? ]

Everyone who knows me is aware of it. [ At home, anyway. Here he didn't say a word. It's not important. ]

Then whaddya mean no one's ever celebrated it?! You've got people who know, so makem' acknowledge it, at least!

[ Hypocrite. He's such a hypocrite. ]

We don't have that kind of relationship, that's all. It doesn't bother me.

Hmph. Some friends you've got.

[ They're annoying, sure, but at least his group of friends would always go out of their way to show they cared about him... especially on his birthday of all days.

N-not like he missed them or anything!! ]

Well lemme know when you're birthday is, then. I'll say it to you the next time it comes around.

I don't have any friends at home! [ He says this cheerfully, like that's a normal thing. He just has people who mind him and they don't care about his birthday. They care about as much as his parents cared. ]

[ Okay that smile is pissing him off for some reason—

He personally got him ramen and Inuyasha didn't even ask. That clearly makes him a good guy in his book. ]

Don't say that with a smile on your face, you idiot! You got a problem makin' friends or somethin'!?

[ Not like Inuyasha would ever admit he had friends. At least out loud. But again... hypocrite. ]

And I said I would so I will! Just tell it to me!

I'd say it's more like I don't have time to make friends. I work a lot. [ He is a good guy, as much as he's able to, but he's in a complicated situation. Work is a good excuse. It's even true - but the people who tell him what to do, where to go, when to work - they wouldn't like him having freinds. ]

Sure, but you don't have to. It's December 28th.

[ It's already passed, and the next one is far away. He's not expecting Inuyasha to remember. ]

Huh. One of those then. [ Like Inuyasha even knows what "those" are! ] Well it's not like you're workin' the same job here, right? So you don't have an excuse now.

[ He'll puff, already making a mental note. ]

December 28th. Got it. I ain't gunna forget.

You've got me there. [ Hawks chuckles a little bit. ] I'm not, at least, I can set my own hours?

[ Sure, sure, don't forget, except he expects he will. It doesn't bother him. ]

[ Inuyasha doesn't have the slightest concept of "hours" while working, so you'll only get a scrunch up face full of confusion. ]

You can do whatever you want here! Open your own business, or whatever the hell people even do here! Or at least find some reliable people.

Mostly I patrol around and keep an eye on things, help people out where I can, like I do at home.

As long as you're not causin' any trouble or gettin' into it, I don't care what you do.

I get into lots of trouble. [ Hawks laughs, come on now, he literally tries to stop trouble. ]

I don't know if you could accuse me of being a lone wolf, I talk to people all the time.
