[Being unable to actually be around some of his friends thanks to whoever controls the magic tattoos getting all pissy? Really freaking sucks. There's lots he's planned this month, but he can't enact it without dealing with the tats scorching him and whatever Paladin's close by. And while he can handle a little burning -- he douses himself with boiling water like it's nothing for crying out loud -- he'd rather not put someone through that.

That all being said? He doesn't plan on letting that put a damper on his good mood. After all, there's something he's been stewing on for a long time ever since they found that abandoned coliseum. Something he, and undoubtedly a good chunk of people in Escordvi, won't let go to waste.

The network pings to life with the starting up of a camera feed, revealing one Ranma Saotome. Sitting on a large piece of stone, in a sweatshirt and shorts, and sweating buckets worth.]

Yo! [He casually sets his phone beside him so those viewing could get a better look at his surroundings. The teen looks to be in the middle of a fighting pit with vacant stands in the back, undoubtedly stretching all around.]

I'mma cut right to the chase: The guys and I found this ancient, awesome coliseum on our island. Massive place too, the camera doesn't do it enough justice, you've gotta see it for yourself. [A fervent grin cross up his face, meeting his eyes equally as ardent as his smile. He was evidently having a hard time sitting still with how giddy he was. It was like a little kid on Christmas morning.] Which is why I wanna put this place to good use in the next months.

[After he gets it up to snuff, and without the tattoos impeding a match.]

So, whaddaya guys say? Who all can fight? Better question: who's up for a good, no-holds barred fight?

Are you planning to restrict the matches by armada?

[Because there's a glaring logistical problem otherwise.]

I'm not holding them now! Still got a lotta work to do before it's fit to fight in! That should be enough time for this whole mess with the brands to blow over.

[Ranma doesn't believe they'll be permanent. They could've made them stick a long time ago if they wanted to.]

...I'm concerned it won't be that simple. Governments aren't exactly known for speed or good decisions.

[He sighs.] Keep it in mind when setting up brackets. I don't know how reliable or available remedies will be, not yet.

Really? I dunno much about that stuff, sounds too boring for me to pay attention to.

[Among other stuff in school that isn't P.E.]

I will, though I've got some confidence in them. Sooner or later, people'll find a way to bypass all this. We've got a lot of smart or crafty people in this place. Give 'em time.

[That's what he has to hope. A lot of his friends are paladins! His crew are chock full of paladins! He wants to hang with them without any hiccups!]

Coliseums get a little too crowded for me.

(Even if they don't pack the stands with an audience, it feels too much like a performance.)

[Ranma sorta gets it. Some people aren't too big on being in a jam-packed stand with noisy audiences hooting and hollering their lungs raw.]

Don't see why not. How hard could fixing it actually be?

[There's also no deadline set in place. Though there should be now that he thinks on it. A set time limit is the same as an issued challenge Ranma'd want to conquer.]

I don't think it would be that hard, just a lot of work. I mean, the island's better than it was, but still.

It's a lot of rocks to clear and stuff.

Yeah, but think about how worth it it'll be when we finally get it up and running.

Mhm. If we do free-for-all, it'd be only one match where people'll get wiped out left and right. Seems like a waste getting a big arena ready just for it to be over like that.

[He snaps his finger at the same time as 'that', tilting his head to gaze at the side while mulling it over.]

I was thinking of doing it brackets anyway. Winners move up 'till there's only two left to duke it out. And killing your opponent's out of the question.

[It might seem obvious rule in hindsight, but people do be bloodthirsty sometimes.]

Well, duh. That's just mean otherwise.

[ Yes, brutal murder is plain ol' mean. ]

But I'm getting pumped up! What are you thinking of calling this tournament? It needs a big, powerful name to declare how awesome it is! And maybe a cool trophy for bragging rights!

[Della's enthusiasm for this is infectious. He's barely containing his own excitement. Oh, why can't the day of the tourney be here now?]

A name? Hadn't thought of one yet, gonna have t' workshop it.

[Surely it can't be that difficult to come up with something catchy that hooks challengers and spectators alike and aplenty.]

A trophy would be nice, though I'unno how much it costs to get one custom made.

[A solid gold trophy sounds pricey... Which, yeah, isn't much of a problem for him. Doing quests and tasks means he's loaded enough to have money to burn.]

Hey, since you came up with the idea, why not name the tournament after yourself?

I like it! [Shocker.] A bit wordy to fit on a trophy, but we can abbreviate it.

And maybe we can have the trophy be the shape of a giant fist! Looks nice and a good weapon in case of emergency!

This is an all-inclusive brawl, so weapons should be all good. Same rules apply to them as unarmed fighters.

[What rules ranma?? The only rule you've come up with thus far is no killing!]

But we also need to make sure things don't end too quickly! Otherwise, the audience will get too bored and start booing.

I can't wait to get the place fixed up and going! Having a whole place to spar and fight together is going to be amazing.

[It's one of the biggest projects for their island but it has to happen.]

[People helping of their own volition without some strings attached is... something Ranma's still getting used to. It just makes him appreciate the help fivefold.]

[He thinks Roxas' was Paladin, and outside of being Sora's clone, Sora's a bubbly goody two-shoes enough that Ranma'd genuinely be taken off guard if Sora was anything but a Paladin. Still, better safe than sorry.]

Yeah, I get it. I'm with the paladins.

[Ding ding. Ranma guesses right that Sora's goody two-shoes attitude landed him with the paladins way too easily. But Sora would have been totally fine with either of the armadas and probably would have fit in with both of them. He's kind of adaptable like that. And he likes pirates. The corsair kind.]

That means it probably wouldn't be that fair if we had a fight right now. Besides, I usually fight with a keyblade. Are you okay with that?

[What a twist.]

So you do got one of those too. [Roxas got one, so it's only common sense Sora would as well. He still couldn't help but wonder.] Go ahead. People come at me with weapons all the time, and I kick their butts all the time with or without weapons.

Haha, yep. [Sora grins. There's a whole gaggle of keyblade users kicking around by now.]

If that's that, then. I hope you're prepared to get your butt kicked instead.

[She can't even be upset that this is going to be a thing here. She's participated in some coliseum battles herself a few times, after all. Usually not by choice, but she and her friends always made it out fine anyway.

She has another concern to address rather than sign up though.]

You are going to take precautions, aren't you? You're going to have healers on hand for after the fights?

That... might've slipped my mind.

[Ranma lamely admits, scratching the back of his head. To be fair, he rarely gets proper medical care outside of going to Dr. Tofu. And that guy's just a chiropractor.]

I've been practicing healing people with my ki thanks to my tattoo, but I guess I can't really be the only guy treating people's wounds.

[Not without severely draining his own energy and time.]

[She didn't seem surprised. Boys.]

Of course not. That would be silly. So what you clearly need is a few dedicated healers to make sure nobody gets seriously injured. It wouldn't be fun if that happened!

[Rude! Real men don't need fancy-schmany healing or actual medical procedures when they've got will and spirit! >:((]

Yeah, you got a point. It'd suck if people were too messed up to continue fighting.

[That, and people can't handle grievous injuries like everyone from his world. There's that too he supposes.]

[Hey, he figured he should ask her since she brought it up in the first place.]

Well, as it just so happens... me! I'm a an excellent healer.

[Wow. How convenient.]

That's great! You mind lending a hand with the healing people part?

[Might be a dumb question, since he doesn't know this girl enough to know if she'll want something in return or if she's purely altruistic.]

I miiight could do that. [She drawled out just to tease him a little before complying.]

[Oh yeah? Well, Ranma'll counter her teasing with

big, sad pleading puppy dog eyes. Complete with his pigtail dropping like a pitiful puppy's tail. Look at his face Aerith. Do you have the heart to say no to it?]

C'mon, pleeeease?

[He drags out the please to make it sound more like begging.]

Hmmm. I don't know.... [she said in a sing-song like voice]

[No matter his answer, she was going to agree. But she just couldn't help tease him a liiittle bit more!]

[Ignorant to that fact, Ranma drops the pleading act to cross his arms and visibly ponder.]

I'unno, helpin' out a guy in his time of need out of the goodness of your heart?

[Smile's looking desperate there.]

Really? That's all? You're not going to offer anything?

[She sighed dramatically.

Then laughed at him and waved the teasing away with a hand in the air.]

Just kidding! I'd hate for anyone to get injured without someone to help them. I'm willing to help.

[Phew! Ranma's pitiful expression ebbs away to relief. For a second, he thought she was being serious.]

Hardy har. Very funny...

They might have a rough patch (then again its easier to name people ranma doesn't have those with), but he can't and won't say no to more challengers.]

A couple months, two to three at best. Aiming for a time where we don't have to deal with a handicap.

The place's not ready yet. We still gotta lot of work to do before it's fit for fighting in.

[Now someone as versatile and flexible as him could no problem. But would people really want to spectate an event in a stadium that looks like it could crumble to dust at the mere touch?]

But hey, if you think you need these [Raising his hand where the insignia they've placed on them.] to give you a slight edge at winning a fight, there's no shame in admitting it. Much.

Like hell I need it! I could take your on any time of the day, with or without the stupid thing!
