This is something I've been wondering for a while. It seems that I have been slacking off on my abilities lately.

While I'm not the best when it comes to machines, I do want to do my best.

Is there something I can make for you? Or perhaps fix?

Sometimes but not enough to be an expert on it.

Do you want me to fix yours?

Not so much fix but...I've been trying to make a new kind. Something that uses the magitech circuits instead of film, so I can make them much smaller and lighter...I've been wondering about attaching them to mechanical butterflies, or maybe something bigger, but I don't know much about the movie cameras they use in Fontaine.

...or about making things more waterproof.

I never tried to make it waterproof but I can try. I just need to find the right material for it.

well, there's a lot of materials native to this world...the shipwrights might have something we can use?

Yes, I am but not enough to be an expert on it.

Understanding it at all makes you more of an expert than I am. It's power sources, for instance. Do you know how they work?

Just enough to power it a bit.

There may be something you could help recreate.

Are you familiar with telepathy at all?

A little bit but not enough to attempt it through machines.

Is there something you have in mind?

Yes, and I know the workings of it, but only using technology available in my own world. I'm afraid I was programmed with a difficulty in accepting magic. It's all very complicated, but it causes a sort of feedback. If magic can be funneled into a power source, though, that can power electronics, I think I can work with that.

ME ME ME! What kind of stuff do you usually make back home? Like, how would you compare the technology of your world to this one?

Uh...mechanical penguins and I usually fix machines.

And it's not too different. It's the materials that I'm not familiar with.

What do you want me to help you with?

So kinda like Cid's world and less like Hiro's, gotcha.

What about some things to help around the ship? Like a little friend that can water plants in the garden, or watch a stove for Tifa?

I think I can do that. That should be simple enough.

I would need to find the right materials for it...

If you get me a list, I can help scrounge them up. I've very good at digging through trash and other things.

Although, don't expect anything that great...

That's alright! I'm sure if we ask around, we might find the answer. If people we able to make the lights turn on here, surely there's someone who knows how to power a mechanical penguin!
