This is Alhaitham.
I have a survey for people to respond to. Those who have filled up my previous survey from last year may consider this as a follow up of sorts to it—those who have not are free to respond to this one all the same. Regardless, there are similarly no restrictions or stipulations to the nature of the responder; the only thing that I request is for honesty when filling this in.
1) Are you currently in any sort of romantic relationship? (Arrangements made purely for physical reasons do not count.)
2) Does an institution of marriage exist in the world that you come from? Does it play any sort of significant cultural role? Feel free to describe as much or as little as you want.
3) Do you consider the idea of marriage important? What is the primary endgoal in any romantic relationship that you pursue?
4) What do you envision as your ideal future with a partner?
5) What does the concept of 'home' mean to you?
You are free to leave your answers in this post or direct them to my inbox. I will follow up on whatever answers that I feel are necessary.
Thank you for your time.

Fair enough. Are you going to compare it to your own world in some way?
If you'll forgive me for being a bit vague, I can elaborate. I'm a telepath. My previous lover was dying and I entered his mindscape to in essence give us a life together. I doubt you want the details of how something like that works, but in essence it just allowed us to have memories of a life we could have had if things had gone differently.

[A telepath... those aren't really a thing in Teyvat, and the only being he knows with the power to read minds prior to being here was the Dendro Archon, though she has always been very careful with how she uses it. That being said, he doesn't think that she could inject thoughts and show ideas like what this person is describing to him right now. At the end of the day, Nahida is the God of Dreams and Wisdom, not the actual mind itself.]
I see. I appreciate the explanation. My condolences for your loss.
[Alhaitham may not be the most feelsy person but he can very much understand the pain that comes with losing somebody close to you. It's one of the many reasons why he'll choose to fight anything and everything as long as it means he can keep Kaveh by his side.]

You're welcome. I'm always happy to answer questions that are just born from curiosity about my powers.
[ it's an improvement over what people are like in her own world towards people with abilities. So harmless questions that just come from being curious? It's a nice change. ]
Thank you, but I don't deserve that sympathy.

How so? It simply sounded like you give him all the comfort you could provide to ease his passing.
[Alhaitham himself doesn't necessarily fear death, but there's nothing disrespectful about easing somebody's pain in their last moments.]
