[There's the sound of a grunt before a long sigh.]

I'm a fan of naps as any other person [Enjoy the deep, groggy-sounding voice.] but I doubt it's normal to just be sent straight into a coma out of nowhere.

[Yeah, guess who's surprisingly not a fan of that?]

Is that a normal thing that happens around here or what?

[ Don't worry. Khalid is going to wait until Azul says his piece. Does his song and dance and all of the arguing and whatever comes with that.

And then he's just sitting. Sipping on a drinking and making himself comfortable as though he hasn't been here all along. ]

You look a little too comfortable sitting there.

[You couldn't have saved him from being scolded?

Leona just kind of gives him a look, running his fingers through his hair.]

What are you even drinking?

Something similar to guava juice. Or the equivalent of it.

[ He'll pour you a glass if you ask really nice, Leona. ]

I can leave if you find my presence too much in your current state.

I wasn't aware I even had that kind of juice in my house.

[He sighs.]

Won't kick you out as long as you don't go naggin' at me like the octo-punk.

It doesn't. I went and purchased some because you definitely ran out of things here. We couldn't have you waking up in a home filled with rotting food.

[ Claude tilts his head to take a look at Leona. He had been actually worried. Concerned. It's not that this is something new or different. He does worry about and for people. The strange part about all of this is the level of personal emotional attachment. ]

I don't feel like nagging you. It's not like this was your fault.

[They could've, but he doesn't say it aloud. Just a mere raised brow at Claude's direction at that.

He tilts his head, not missing the way he's being looked at either. Azul, he can understand on some level. Claude...is a hit and miss sometimes. Leona feels like he's gauged him enough where there is some level of concern, but how deep it goes? He hasn't figured it out yet.

Seeing him here though is making a few things connect in his mind that makes him wonder if Claude's realized it. Hmm...probably not.]

Good. Don't think I can handle another lecture.

[Or just being scolded. Leona sighs, just opting to choose to sit at the table by Claude instead.]

How long was I out for? I've been told for about a month.

[ Or maybe he has figured some things out. The things that he has... It makes him nervous. A little uncertain and unmoored, if only because some of the things that he's come to realize are things that he hasn't, personally, experienced before. ]

Hmmm. Blue was just worried, that's all.

[ A shrug. Then he just watches Leona walk over to sit at the table. ]

It was about a month, yeah. For a hot second I thought it was because of our date since it happened the day after.

It’s weird to see.

[If only because that concern has never been directed toward Leona before.

He scoffs softly.]

The timing was just bad.

[It’s nothing against Claude.]

I don't think it's weird. To tell the truth, I was more than a little concerned myself.

[ Just also pragmatic. There's no reason to throw a fuss if Leona's life hadn't actually been in danger. From everything that Claude's seen and observed, it doesn't seem like this is the case. So no need to actually be all huffy and such. ]

Anyway, I figured that as well. It's not like you missed much. Aside from me, of course.

I figured that’s why you’re here.

[in his home and not messaging him through the shell phone otherwise.]

Yeah? You should tell me what I’ve missed out on.

Yeah well. I might have stayed a couple of days here and there.

[ In other words, whenever he could get away from his wyvern to do so. She has finally relaxed some but that doesn't change the fact that Khalid has come here.

He looks at Leona again for a moment. Typical smile in place making him somewhat unreadable. ]

If you want me to tell you things, how about we do that over dinner? After you start to feel like it, of course.

[His ear twitches at that.

Leona looks over at him, staring a bit at the smile before he blinks slowly.]

I won’t say no to dinner. [Pause.] So long as you’re not the one cooking it.

[He means well, but unless Khalid is suddenly a master chef during his time asleep, it’d be safer for his stomach that the other man doesn’t cook…]

Of course it won't be me cooking it. We'll do something fancier later.

[ When Leona is less disoriented and more filled in with what has been going on in the last month. There haven't been important or startling developments. But still... Being asleep for almost a month has to be rough on the body in other ways. ]

You can fill me in on what you were dreaming of this entire time. Besides me, of course.

[ Wink ]

It was an uneventful sleep.

[He sighs, looking like he’s ready to go back to sleep already or lay down.]

Even if I did dream, I don’t recall it.

[Although…something is slowly occurring to him as he becomes aware of his surroundings.]

It seemed pretty uneventful on this side, true enough.

[ He sets his now empty glass aside. Leona looks like he has something on his mind. No rush though. ]

Really now? No new shenanigans or anything of the like?

[His ear twitches.]

How often have you come by while I was asleep?

Oh things happened, just not around you.

[ Now there's a question he didn't expect. It's a question that Khalid kind of just. Mulls over. Does he tell the truth. Does he lie... ]

Every couple of days for a couple of days.

[That has him sighing.]

Was it you or the other one who moved my pen then?

[Because he hadn’t woken up to it and it’s made him a little too tense.]

Hey, I was concerned. Knowing you, you'd wake up and just roll back over.

[ Which is probably what Leona did. But since he's asking about his pen, Khalid will dig it out of his sash and hand it over. ]

I figured you wouldn't want it laying around out in the open.

[…That’s exactly what he did.

Leona accepts his pen and glances at the stone. Hmm, still dark. So that long sleep didn’t help at all.]

I didn’t. [Pause.] …Thanks.

Do I get to lecture you a little about your pen at least?

[ He promised he wouldn't nag about the being asleep. No the pen. ]

Haven’t you lectured me already when you found out about it?

[His ears fall back.]

It was just a question. You could say yes or not.

[ Don't get so huffy. ]

Another day when I haven’t just woken up.

[No more lectures, please.]
