While I haven't been here too long to know the full story, I have seen there's some invested interest in attempting to locate Elah. My particular gifts make me adept at locating people and things and I have to admit I've felt a bit useless since arriving here.

I'm certain I'm not the only one with an interest in at least trying to look. Which brings me here to ask if anyone else has either started their own search or intends to try looking themselves? It could be beneficial for everyone to know who all is trying.

[ ooc: feel free to talk to each other too here! just though it'd be a good kick off point for people going about with trying to find thing or who already have found things themselves. ]

I'm pretty good at finding things too, but Elah seems to be beyond the range of most senses. Or it's blocking them.

If people are really serious about this, they're probably going to have to find out the general area Elah is in before they can try a tactic like that.

Might be easier to find a way to draw it back somehow, though I'm not sure that can be done either.

I might sound arrogant for saying this, but it's pretty decent. Outside factors can play a role in making it harder, like unfamiliarity.

That was my thought as well, that an initial location Elah's been spotted in would be helpful to narrow things down a bit more. Otherwise it's a bit exhausting, like searching for a needle in a haystack.

One would not think Elah would be so difficult to find, and yet this has been a puzzling venture by all accounts.

Something of theirs can help, or a person close to them. Narrowing down the location can help as well.

i have someone who can handle the details but it cant be that hard to find something since elah is a Big Deal

what do you mean by instantly transfer how does that work?

At the moment I've only been able to track down traces at the Whalefolk village, but they're exceptionally faint meaning Elah moved on from there some time ago. I can still pick up something faint but it's quite a distance away from there. I've considered just following it out, but I'm not certain how far it goes and even I'm not quite that reckless.

If I could get closer, or at least narrow the search down it might be easier

Went to the underwater city last month. The people there were pretty sure Elah headed somewhere out in the deep ocean. There was also a big monster who helped out with smashing the whalebone island that sounds a lot like something rumored to live in the abyss.

It's possible that Elah just headed out into the normal deep ocean but I kinda wonder if it went to visit that monster, or if there's anyone down there who would know more about what's going on.

That's a decent thought. Fits with what I've felt as well.

I can understand leaving it to someone else. I'm not usually a planner myself.

It's a bit difficult to explain, but I have an ability that lets me transfer large amounts of information instantly between minds. In my own world we utilized it to instantly update different teams.
