[ Initially, only Claude's face appears on the feed, alongside is wyvern. She is resting her chin on his shoulder and that hand of his is giving her a pat pat pat. So much patting. ]

I'm sure you all remember me talking about this several moons ago, but hey! The time finally came. I was starting to get a little worried, considering I have no clue what the incubation time for wyvern eggs are here. Everything went smoothly though, I promise. They actually hatched a few days ago, but I wanted to give them some time.

[ Now the video feed shifts, away from Khalid and Azita, and onto the little baby wyverns. Special guest star Leona is also present, already holding a small lizard in his arms. Seems like it's already attached. There's another one, in Claude's arm. ]

Leona and I are going to be co-parenting these kids for a little while so -

[ Unfortunately, Claude gets cut off. With Leona shoving the man's face, ears folded back. ]

Don't say it like that.

[ Too bad Khalid is unbothered, catching Leona's hand and winking. ]

Sorry, gorgeous. I meant co-parenting the hatchlings. [ Another laugh and moving right along. He's looking at the camera once more, ignoring the grumbling from behind him. ] As you all can probably tell, one little one is spoken for. I don't know about this one, so we'll just have to wait and see.

Ironic that they'd hatch while we're having issues with wild wyverns.

[He sighs.]

Think anyone’s going to step up to adopt?

Maybe they will. It's all right if they don't. I'd prefer the wyvern to choose the person in the end, as you know.

[ A shrug. ]

Maybe this little one will end up joining the wild ones instead.

[sunsetking]

It'd suit it considering how bitey it can get.

[a glance at the hatchling.]

How. Don't slander our child like that. I'm sure you were just as bitey as a cublette.

[ Yeah, he sure made up that word right on the spot. ]

...When did it become our child?

[He only just claimed the one? Also, he's going to give a look at the word. Really?]

[deepstar]

You're the one that said they are my grandkids, but I refuse to be a grandpa at this age. So that makes us co-parents. Co-parents means that we are raising kids together.

[ Leona, you are the one that has made the first mood on Khalid. Now you're stuck with this man. You should have known better. ]

[sunsetking]

[A scoff.]

You should just accept your fate as a grandpa, y'know.

[deepstar]

That still would have made you a grandpa in the end, sweetheart.

[ He's just going to point that out. ]

[sunsetking]

[Just a disgruntled face.

The hatchling in his arms blinks and head bumps his chin.]

Now you're just enjoying this.

Is it wrong for me to enjoy it just a little?

[ That's a look of disgruntlement, not necessarily a rejection. Though he doubts that Leona would. That wyvern might be bumping Leona's chin, but Claude is leaning over to give the lion a peck on the lips. ]

Maybe you should consider it a practice run.

[sunsetking]

[He gives him a bit of a look at that. What does he think?

His ears twitches at the peck.]

Practice run for what exactly?

[deepstar]

[ Khalid, unfortunately for Leona, is only going to respond with a smile.

Practice run for what indeed. Maybe Leona doesn’t need to worry about it too much right now. ]

Hmm. I can’t wait to see how you’ll react.

[sunsetking]

[A squint at that smile.]

Holding secrets already?

Maybe it's more of a silent wish than a secret.

[ That, ironically, is not a lie. ]

[He sighs, rubbing the back of his neck now.]

Maybe you'll find out in time.

[ Totally blowing a fake kiss at Leona now. Though... It's not really fake is it? ]
