I'm not sure that anyone's come forward with this yet, but there's a way that we can help the people that have been all inky this last moon. You know those purifiers some of us have been making for the miasma?

[ Khalid moves the camera around. Okay, don't be alarmed, he kind of corralled a bunch of Phantoms into an abandoned barn. With Sylvain's help - thanks Gautier. So the camera is panning around to those lanterns with the filters inside and it seems like it is helping out with the inky Phantom-ness. ]

It's a bit of a process, but it does seem to be working, as long as the person affected isn't too far gone. Moth dust is a lot more helpful than the crushed stones and pearls, for the record.

It's not like I was going to keep this to myself, so if anyone's looking to help these people out? Well, there you go.

I actually have a pretty hard time attracting them. Maybe they just don't like me?

What qualifies as "too far gone?" Could we not increase the number of lanterns?

Should we have a designated area for treating the affected? I imagine the deep will need one as well, given pressurization differences....

[And there he goes, sinking into his thoughts again. Rambling.]

Mayhap one of those safe rooms can be repurposed for the task. My teleportation magicks do not work so well when it comes to the waters here for reasons I have yet to uncover, but my shackling magicks seem largely unaffected. I could bind them and restrain them during the treatment process easily enough, but I would need someone else to provide me with the supplies that I might focus my energies on restraining those affected...

There does reach a point where the individual is consumed by their own negative energy. At that point there's really no bringing them back.

[ That's about as close to the truth as Claude is going to get. There's more to it. but to say more would incriminate someone he knows. SO. ]

Then the only cure at that point is ... death, yes?

I haven't encountered death yet here. And I suppose I'm trying to process this new reality by overanalyzing it.

[She smiles slightly. Not that it's visible from behind her mask, but her resignation is likely audible.]

I do appreciate all attempts to make this place survivable for as many people as possible. I'm sure those with affected friends feel the same.

It's not exactly ideal... I have a lot of purifiers up and it's not touching a couple of them. Still, a few of them are better than none of them.

[ He's accustomed to war and loss. And loss associated with succession and all of that. Doesn't mean he wants there to be losses that can be avoided. ]

I'd prefer not to die at all? Not until I'm an old man?

[Tali nods. She too has experience with war and its costs. She gestures briefly at her suit.]

My people have extensive experience with filtration systems. I'd like to take a look at them and see if there is anything I can do to augment them, if that's alright. I'm not sure if it will change anything, but we should try.

[She understood death was different here, but. Well. Any death avoided was an improvement.]

You're sure putting a lot of thought into this. What you decide to do is ultimately up to you. If you find that whatever system you come up with is more effective, then by all means. It was no small effort to set up the barn.

Ah! Yes, the barn. Is that where you have the ones you have been treating? [Is it the place in the recording? Is that what a barn looks like?] Would you like me to bring those who are far gone there? Have you ascertained a preferred capacity?

And... a-ah, if I may ask, who is Azul? I've never met anyone by that name. Or is it their title? Do people go by titles here?

As much as I hate to say it, the ones that are too far gone might just need to be put down as kindly as possible. It's more considerate of them that way. The purifiers will help anyone that hasn't lost a sense of themselves though so they could be brought to the barn.

Twenty can fit in there comfortably. Any more and things will get a little cramped.

As for Azul, there's this lounge that he runs, and yes that is his name. I can't answer for the rest of it though. That might vary from individual to individual.

Help yourself. I'd just prefer to be at the barn when you take a look at them.

I have some extras, just in case I need to change them out.

That seems fair. I would need time to gather a few makeshift supplies, at any rate. Let me know when works best for you and I'd enjoy the opportunity to feel useful beyond my shotgun again.

Anything that we can use to make more purifiers, really. What I mean by that is any of the gemstones or the moth dust. Or if you think you've got enough negative thoughts floating around to draw more of them?

Hmmm, no. They're a special kind of moth that's not attracted to light but by emotions, more or less.

Same thing with these Phantoms. They're also drawn to negativity.
