I dunno.
Just, earlier this year there was a big rift between the Paladins and the Corsairs and we all had these brands on us. And they wouldn't let you get close to anyone on the opposite Armada. It really sucked.

I just don't want the bracelets doing that.

I don't think I'd heard about that.

That doesn't seem fair to do to everyone. What about people with friends in the other Armada?

It came before the whole kidnapping thing. I think they were linked.

But the Armadas were fighting, or at least, the people at the top were. And they kinda made it everyone else's problem.

It was the worst! Most of Plus Ultra is Corsairs! We couldn't get close to each other or anything!

That's very suspicious timing for them not to be linked in some way. It would also make sense, we've seen that sowing suspicion helps to hide people's true intentions.

If I'm being honest I don't entirely understand how or why we're put in Armada's like this. But it would be pretty awful to not be able to get close to people on our own crew.

Yeah. It was bad. I know it was solved and all, but still. Now any time there's a division...yeah

[He gets suspicious. And worried.]

I don't really get it either. It just seems kinda arbitrary. Hopefully it doesn't happen again.

I felt like I had to get really far away so it wouldn't burn.

Did it just stop happening or did people do something to fix it?

[ she's hoping people did something, because if it just stopped that seems bad, like it'd be easy for it to happen again. ]

Maybe it is just arbitrary, how we're placed I mean.

Could you stay on the island together or did you have to be on separate sides?

It was all tied in with the kidnapping stuff, so when people figured that out, that's when everyone started working together again.

Sometimes it feels that way.

It would burn if you got close to someone on the opposite armada. So I was kinda camping out as far away as I could on the island.]

Hm, well, that's good then, right? If people figured it out when that happened then there's a good chance people will figure it out if something else happens.

I hope it doesn't come to anyone having to camp out on their own or anything. Maybe these really are just tied to the treasure?

That's probably the case. But I just wanted to be sure.

I understand. I think that's smart, we've seen a lot of people just jump into things.

Yeah. I've been. Trying to avoid that.

All someone can really do is try. I hope you'll keep trying though, I wouldn't want to hear about you getting hurt again.
