I suppose I should post this here. People having been saying I should be more confident in myself so...

I guess I wanted to let you know my birthday is coming up soon. So, I'm not too sure how to celebrate it here.

[ Sherlock thinks about leaving Freminet the puzzle he gave Heizou. However, he doesn't want to give cause for Freminet to dismiss his own merits, especially when he is trying to build his confidence. Might as well reward the kid for that. ]

It is January 6th. I should let you know that I do not plan to do anything on that date.

If you truly feel the need to, there is not much I could do to stop you. Although, I doubt I would be able to give suggestions should you ask what to make me later.

Then would a cake be good enough?

What flavor do you want? Or what do you want me to put on it?

I'm fond of coffee, honey, lavender, and citrus flavors. I have even heard of ice cream being formed into a cake, though I've never seen one.

There was something similiar to that in Fontaine. Although, I have to admit, I never tried making one before.

...I suppose I could give it a try.

I once helped out with a stew and created something beyond my understanding of physics. Alhaitham had to create an entirely new meal.

I think the goats might have been fed the failed meal, but I now realize I do not know if they ultimately ate it or not.

Otherwise, Alhaitham had saved meal time for everyone on the expedition, so in that sense, all was well. I did not help prepare the new meal.

[ And Alhaitham even got Sherlock to eat and drink some without much fuss! ]

...Do you want me to teach you how to cook?

I warn you; I have frustrated many a teacher.

How so? Teaching someone to cook shouldn't be too difficult.

I speak of my teachers in other areas, not cooking. Without listing every fault I found in the professors, subjects, or establishment, I shall summarize as having a conflict of ideals.

Then...do you still want me to help you cook?

Only if you do not judge yourself harshly should I fail to make any improvement. I cannot promise the subject will hold my interest for long.

I was under the assumption that this would be my birthday gift in January.
