Subject: Advertising for Ghoul's Moon/Halloween, also as always hiring for the Mostro Lounge

Warnings: ... Halloween Capitalism?? In all seriousness nothing yet but will add if something comes up.

[Today, Azul Ashengrotto appears on camera: however, he is not dressed in his usual business suit and tie. Instead, his outfit has been completely swapped out for a pitch black suit with a different style as he grins, teeth appearing a little sharper than usual.]

Hello everyone, this is Azul Ashengrotto speaking! In the unlikely event that someone out there still doesn't know of me by now, I'm a mage capable of crafting potions and spells, among various other unique skills to grant the wishes of any unfortunate souls in pain or need. I am also the proprietor of the Mostro Lounge, a place where anyone can come and relax, or take part in various forms of games and entertainment.

[He gives a bow to the camera before he straightens up again to continue speaking.]

Given the nature of the season approaching, I would like to announce that for the next month, the Mostro Lounge will be offering a new menu catering for not only those seeking something with an autumn atmosphere, but in order to celebrate this being the month of Halloween--or ah, "Ghoul's Moon" as it is called here: where I come from, this particular holiday is regarded very highly during this time of year, and so naturally I wish to do everything I can to honor it here.

[He moves the camera now to give a sweeping gesture of the Lounge: the night club aesthetic now has very noticeable Halloween decorations in place--orange and black banners strung up around the walls, pumpkins with candles inside serving as mood lighting on the tables, and so on.]

There will be new sweets, especially a few pumpkin flavored treats added to our regular menu, as well as a special discount on a pumpkin spice tea and coffee blend of my own making that was around for a limited time last year, so please don't miss your opportunity to try it again now before it is gone. As for activities that will be taking place, our usual board games on offer are still available, but we will also be putting together special events throughout the month for attendees, such as a night dedicated to dancing, or for the opportunity to try a game involving some potions with some mild temporary effects to play around with. There will also be an opportunity for guests and employees to use the stage for sharing any stories with an audience that they feel is best fitting for inspiring a fright, but more importantly...

[Azul steps up onto the stage himself now, and then, with a grand flourish of his cane, his outfit changes to an entirely different costume, resembling that of something similar to a mummy perhaps as he adjusts his hat.]

The Mostro Lounge will be hosting a special costume contest for anyone feeling bold enough to come up with an outfit to wear and enter with! This is your opportunity to show off your skills in providing chills and screams, as we will be judging a winner based on who can come up with the scariest appearance for this contest! The winner will be receiving not only a special beneficiary prize for their continued patronage to the Mostro Lounge, but will be given the opportunity to have one request of their choosing granted for free by yours truly! And as a reminder, in case you have forgotten, I have quite the skillset as a mage here, so this can be any type of request, even if it is something that normally requires the use of my magic and alchemical skills.

[A beat, before he adjusts his glasses.]

... Within reason, of course. Any wish that I am to grant cannot be anything that would bring some kind of harm to others.

[Azul clears his throat and moves on, turning about with a flourish of white ribbons as he bows once more to the camera.]

And of course, as always, I am hiring anyone looking for work. I would appreciate any offers for helping with upkeep at our business, whether that be keeping the Lounge clean, serving drinks, working the front desk, or so on. This also goes for anyone who may be able to help with my shop, as I will still be accepting offers for my other business of making and selling products, magic-based or otherwise. There's a flicker of... amusement? Nostalgia? Hard to say, but he's internally reminded of being told he ought to make his food a bit spicier. ]

[Sure enough, when Faulkner comes in tomorrow it will be easy to find Azul--he's working the floor for him at the moment so that he can keep an eye out for him when he comes in for his job interview, as an employee will point him out for Faulkner to find and approach.]

[ Azul is easy enough to spot once someone points him in the right direction, and Faulkner will give him a little wave when it seems like he has a moment free.

He seems cheerful, and looks a bit more put together than usual, although that's still pretty casual by most standards. He at least looks more professional than he usually does at the Conservatory. ]

Good morning! I'm so glad that you could make it.

[Azul smiles, before gesturing for Faulkner to follow him.]

Please, right this way: we can either start with discussing the job and answering any questions you have in my office. Or, if you'd prefer demonstrating your cooking skills first, I can show you to the kitchen now and allow you to prepare as you see fit and then discuss the job further after?

Seems like a good idea to talk about the job first, to me.

[ If he decides he's not interested the rest might be a waste of everyone's time, after all. Aside from the excuse to use a nice kitchen. ]

Of course, of course. In that case, please allow me to guide you to my office.

[He says, as Azul leads Faulkner to said office: it's a very private, professional looking set-up, not unlike how he has it set up back home too in fact as he gestures for Faulkner to go ahead and take a seat at whichever of the two couches he wishes here, while Azul walks over to his desk to gather up whatever papers he needs to bring over regarding a potential employee contract.]

I can also prepare some tea or coffee to drink if you'd like?

[ He'll look around, but have a seat without any particular comment. He has just slightly mixed feelings about all the water theming, even if he really ought to be used to that here. ]

Wouldn't mind some tea, thanks.

Excellent! Give me just a moment then...

[Normally he would have Jade prepare tea for his guests but Azul has to do this part himself nowadays. As such, it takes a moment for him to set the kettle and get it ready from the tea cart he has in the corner of his office, but Azul is no less cheery as he continues speaking.]

So then, as for the job: primarily, I need someone who can cook so that I can devote more time to hosting guests out on the floor and when there are meetings and calls I need to be in my office for. Juggling the cooking on top of all that is, as much as I hate to admit it, a little difficult sometimes, so any additional help in that regard would be very appreciated.

Sounds like a heavy load. I could definitely take some of that off your hands. Probably ought say I'm not lookin' for anything full time, though.

[ Working too many days would mean spending less time at the Conservatory, among other things. But he'd still like some steadier income than he has. ]

Fair enough! I am willing to hire you for part-time if there are other commitments you need to attend to as part of your schedule in this place, you'll just have to let me know what days and hours works best for you.

[Azul can be reasonable! He's not planning on forcing Faulkner or anyone else he hires to be fully committed to the Lounge, and only the Lounge.]

[ And he'll nod along with all of this cheerfully enough. ]

Sounds good to me. Probably... two or three days a week?

[ That sounds reasonable. He thinks. He's never had a real job and he's still getting used to a seven-day calendar. ]

[With a little wave of his hand, a piece of paper floats off of Azul's desk along with a pen to hover in the air now next to Azul here. This way, he can jot down notes while finishing the preparation for their tea here.]

I see, I see... do you already have in mind which days you would prefer to work? And if possible, could one of them be either Friday, Saturday, or Sunday? The weekend can be quite busy in particular, so any of those days that you can help on would be very appreciated.

[ He can't help watching the casual use of magic, even if he's gotten a lot more used to it here. ]

[ He doesn't have a strong preference, though he's not sure he wants to take on more than one of the busy ones. ]

I would say I can handle Sunday, but we often get the most customers either on Friday nights or during the day on Saturdays, due to guests that likely have the weekends scheduled off from their own jobs, and they're wanting to go somewhere relaxing to wind down after a hard week of work. Do you understand what I mean?

[ And that gets a faint laugh. ]

Yes, we have the weekend 'n all that where I'm from too. Just a different set of days to get used to. And more of 'em. Well, less days and more weekends, here.

[ Not that that really matters. ]

Oh, good! Friday night would be perfect.

[The floating pen and paper jot this information down, before floating along behind Azul once he seems to have finished preparing the tea as he now walks back over with a tray. He places one of the cups down in front of Faulkner, along with some sugar cubes and the like if desired for additional flavor.]

Here you are, I hope the tea is to your liking.

Alright.

[ And he'll pull his attention away from the floating pen once there's tea. After a moment he adds a couple of sugar cubes; he's feeling good about things right now, might as well indulge the sweet tooth. ]

Thanks, I'm sure it'll be nice. So Friday nights and... a couple of others in the middle of the week?

[ That seems doable, at least. ]

Yes, that would be wonderful! [There's a pause as he picks up his own cup to drink from, before he adds with a slight cheeky smile.] Of course, I still need to see your skills in the kitchen for myself, but the possibility of having those days covered is in fact very reassuring already.

[ That gets a brief chuckle. ]

Yes, of course. Wouldn't want to get ahead of myself.
