Salutations.

There are two missing individuals that I have been attempting to track down for sometime. Please advise if you have seen them.

This is Surge. It would be difficult to miss her, I imagine. Nonetheless, please advise if you have seen her. She is loud, stubborn, and generally unapologetic for her actions. For good or for ill.

This is Kitsunami, otherwise called Kit. He is much more quiet, but rarely away from Surge's side.

Please advise if you have seen either recently. Thank you.

Was my message about both of them being missing particularly confusing? Yes, both of them.

At their home, about a month ago. I have been looking ever since.

Not to my knowledge, but I suppose anything is possible. Surge would be interested in doing tasks that allow her to perform her perceived heroics. Kit would not be far behind.

I had hoped that would be the case. I am trying to help them understand that you are not the enemy. That you are a true fried to have. I would like to keep trying to help them.

That may work. I doubt Surge could resist the bait, so if she doesn't show up then there are two possibilities neither of which I care for.

Kit is gone. [Confirmed when he ran into a distraught Surge at the beginning of last month. Surge herself....while he hasn't confirmed it himself, he suspects whatever happened to Kit, the same has happened to her now.]

Contact information gone. Surge confirmed herself. No, I haven't seen her.

Contact information disappearing is enough to confirm that someone is simply gone for good? What logic is that?

No, we searched. There's nothing. [As if Kit never was here at all.]

[ Because, yeah, it sucks that they might be gone. But it sucks more because they were definitely Espio's friends. Well. Sort of. He's alone in that crack house now. ]

I haven't seen or heard from either one of them in weeks.

[After some hemming and hawing, he does eventually choose to be more forthcoming with Amy. At least, a little bit.]

When their things went missing, I assumed that I made an error and upset Surge in some way. She would block me sometimes when I did that, and Kit would do anything with her.

But she would've left some kind of trail for me to follow. Destruction, noise somewhere, violent attempts at heroics. Something. I knew that, and still I hoped that perhaps I missed a clue.

It did not occur to me that as easily as we can arrive, that so easily we can disappear.

She is definitely very unpredictable like that... and also, predictable at the same time.

I never thought about it that way either. I guess we kinda take this place for granted, huh?

Indeed. It was always an opportunity to understand better how her mind works.

[A few minutes pass, then Espio follows up with:] I'm trying not to think about it. [How he's feeling. He doesn't really want to examine himself right at the moment, otherwise it feels like everything else will also be a bit too real for him.]

I have also tried to look for both Kit and Surge, given that they are employees of my Lounge... however, I have had no luck finding them, and their contact information has somehow disappeared from the phones.

I've unfortunately got reason to suspect that they've disappeared from this place like some often do. Though, hopefully their disappearance is a sign that they've been returned back to their home world rather than something more nefarious.

Regrettably, that appears to be the consensus. Foolish of me to not consider the possibility that as easily as we appear, we can simply vanish as well.

Thank you for mentioning this. It is gratifying to know that so many have tried to find them. One day, I hope to tell them their value to others, whether as employee or comrade.

[Hah, saying that vanishing from here is "simple"... and yet all of Azul's efforts to try to find a means to allow someone to willingly choose to go back and forth from here to home haven't been simple at all. He's glad he thought to respond via text as well, otherwise he might have actually started laughing.]

Indeed. I appreciated their assistance here, so it is a shame that they have left us.

[Surge in particular had agreed to help as a bodyguard of sorts to keep the Lounge safe and Azul from potentially ending up in any situations again like with the mass kidnappings back in April... not having that kind of security anymore is admittedly a little worrying again.]
