Honestly, I tried to forget it.

That thing's the worst

It is quite memorable, aye.

But one gets the sense it was put together with care, unlike whatever this new thing is.

Why would anyone want to put something like that together anyway?

In my experience, they do it either because they can or they are rehearsing for some greater goal. Let us hope it is the former, hmm? We've already had to put down one rogue alchemist.

Yeah, I guess. But just because you can do something, doesn't mean you should.

And why not? There is much you can learn about anatomy through such experiments. The first beast seems to be functioning well enough with its many hands.

Is it though? It just feels like something like that would have a tough time.

I've seen a species of ape which has similar-looking feet. But on principle I would agree.

Well, let's look at it this way:

The limbs upon which a creature walks on may be considered feet, and limbs which can grasp objects may be considered hands.

In that case, these limbs ought to be considered feet even if they resemble men's hands.

That makes sense, I guess. I think I can work with that.

But, does that mean it could grab stuff with its feet, also?

Why not? There is nothing which says feet cannot grasp objects.

Not very well, no. But over the course of centuries or millennia of use, those feet could adapt to grasp things.

But that's not very helpful right now.
