Whilst the magitech engines have given it additional speed, they aren't nearly as powerful as I'm used to.

[ And at certain speeds, raising the sails will hinder their work instead of assisting it. Emet-Selch leans over the rail slightly with a grimace. Then straightens and snaps his fingers. The ocean seems to rock and roil around the Phantom Moon. Many of the crew stumble as the waves surge. ]

That thing is in our path. If we can bypass it, mayhap we can outpace it.

[Need to go fast, that's all he had to hear.] Steer this ship. [The jets from his shoes come on as he flies toward the rear of the ship. It shakes and creaks amongst the waves as Shadow powers up his jets and starts to push the ship, giving it an additional boost of speed along with what Emet has planned.]

[ Well now. Emet-Selch was going to use his own prodigious powers to push the ship along but this works too. Frees him up to take care of their guest. He makes eye contact with the helmsman and indicates for them to continue steering. Then he walks up to the fore and watches as the distant figure of that 'horse' approaching. ]

--Here it comes!

[ The call is more for Shadow's benefit. The hedgehog is the one who will have to coordinate with the helmsman's steering.

A shrill whinny echoes across the water. Then a dull boom and spray of water as Emet-Selch tries to launch a large fireball at it. ]

[Their current honse being held on the ship returns the other's cry with it's own. Their eerie song seems to have an affect around the area. A wariness, where one's sight might start to play tricks on them. Are there actually indescribable creatures swimming beneath the waters? Is the sky turning pick?

The boat rocks slightly as it hits something in the shallows. Ugh. The ship groans as Shadow starts push the ship further out to sea. At least he hopes it is and not hallucinating the direction he's heading.]
