Greetings and salutations. For those who may not know me, I'm Cid and I have a bit of an inquiry and suppose "announcement" regarding some recent ventures I had with Benedikta and Shadow not too long ago.
[Both are not in the camera frame, but they are lurking in their own ways—]
First—
[He holds up one of the golden keys that have been sought after lately.]
I would like to know if anyone else has managed to acquire one of these golden keys.
The reason for it is we have found where they are to be used. Going back there is a bit... Difficult at the moment, but we know the place exists.
I won't bore everyone with the story, but we fell into a hidden city underground that was preserved in such a way that it almost felt as if it was frozen in time. This city clearly had some important and reverence for the dragon Ancient, Sarht, and it included what we believe may be a temple. There was a large stone tablet that had holes that fit these keys perfectly, and once inserted, echoes of battle cries could be heard.
We believe using all these keys will open the doors of that temple.
As for the rest of the city, the only other thing of note was there was an area that looked to be decaying in some form, perhaps from some powerful poison. We brought back a sample and will be testing it, but should we find access to this city again, best be prepared. It's proven to be quite potent, perhaps fatal with no immediate known antidote.
[Another wave of the key.]
But that's all. I'll be happy to answer any further inquiries.
[Note: Cid will be mostly replying, but Benedikta will chime in more regarding the keys and temple findings. Shadow is just lurking.]

Only takes one individual with no regard to common sense to cause destruction after all.

Very, very true.

We can only hope the current society will learn from the past and not be doomed to repeat it. Granted, having the land so fractured and people so few will help stave off some of it.
[Corruption will always arise, as has been proven even last year, but they are just as easily snuffed out and dealt with.]
Not to mention the holes in the sky that bring in foreigners from other worlds.

All the more reason to uncover that past, to allow it to be learned from instead of lost to the waves. That may very well help, yes, and even the conflict we've seen here has been solved—with help, of course.
[Foreigners from other worlds and native alike.]
Certainly something new added to the mix, and most are willing to help despite the abrupt arrivals.

Turo, do you think the Ancients really care much for this world anymore?
no subject
That is a tricky thing to answer, isn't it? We know they must have cared deeply in the past, but now...
This isn't the world as they knew it, some may care while others could be stuck in whatever happened. Its clear that 'Mother', as I strongly believe she is one, is stuck in her anger and likely whatever caused it—she might not care for this world right now, but that could change in time; with work, of course. [A lot of work, a feeling he couldn't shake.
Could be time some of them didn't have, of course. Understanding not all would share his views of it all.]
Some, if we find more, may still care despite whatever they're caught up in from the past. Hells, I even think Mother might still care deep down or she would have wiped us all out by now, rather than watching. We wouldn't stand a chance if there wasn't some part of her that cared, despite this turmoil deep within her.

Aye, I did consider that, too. All of them could have destroyed everything at the time, yet they allowed survivors, perhaps to give one last chance or a hope to a return of what was.

[Spoken, pages of paper easily heard even if not seen.]
The Ancients very much remind me of stories of them, and remind me they have made appearances within my own time.
no subject
That's also true. Why, even the leviathans we reside on is proof of that.
But can you tell me more about how it was in your world?

[Turo hummed softly—]
You could say that there is a sort of delicate balance between the world's ecosystems, Pokémon, and Humans. Its told in some writings that long ago Pokémon and Humans were created almost the same.
Yet with that the Legendaries can affect or even control certain... Hm. Things like Fire, Ice, Electricity with enough power that if they went wild they could destroy the world, and yet one of the Sea is said to bring balance to them. Then again there are those for Time and Space, Land and Sea, Life and Death, even those representing the sun and moon. There is one said to protect our planet from dangers in space. We have one that is Creation as well, the one all of them can be traced back to.
Mostly thought of as legends, which is why they are called Legendary pokémon. Yet... when there have been groups formed to try and throw the world out of balance, any one of them has appeared depending on the Region the group is acting in. Make an attempt at restoring that balance, and from what I've read there tends to be a young trainer that manages to help with that. Of course there's damages after, but the group and their attempts thwarted due to the bond of Pokémon and mankind. Enough that a Legendary looks kindly upon them in it all. [That incident in Lumiose was something, and then Alola, Galar... and more before that.]
Incidentally, one of the pokémon with me could be considered a Legendary.

And which one of yours is that?

[His head tipped, and Miraidon -powered down- could be seen curled up by the door of the room Turo was in.]
Miraidon here, though of course its more known as Iron Serpent within the Violet book that speaks of it. Told to be able to reduce the land to ash with lightning, powerful and ruthless.

I'm going to assume you haven't had the "opportunity" to see it do such a thing.
no subject
It has come close, thankfully down within an upper cave system still deep down within the time machine room. Here, perhaps fortunately, that grand power has been reduced; I have also watched it grow far less ruthless in our time here.

I suppose in that time the bond between them and I has grown stronger as well.
