[Dongfang Qingcang has his shellphone set up so that it will record him standing in front of it from several feet away. His chin is raised imperiously, his expression is nearly empty, and when he speaks, his tone is bored and even. The sun is behind him, creating dramatic lighting.]

This venerable one is the Great Devil and strongest in the Three Realms, Dongfang Qingcang, Moon Supreme of the Moon Tribe. Mortals would know this venerable one as a god.

[A pause so that anyone listening could make of that whatever they willed.]

As with many who have been brought here, this venerable one finds his full power has been sealed and only some has been restored through the tattoos. This would not matter were this venerable one to set himself against any others brought here as his power is still vast and unfathomable to all but a bare few.

[If Cid is listening: Shut up.]

However, this venerable one has found that despite his power, certain creatures that menace the God-Beasts who have provided sanctuary to us all are particularly... tenacious. This venerable one can easily injure the eight-headed beast, but it is an unfortunate truth that it is able to flee before a killing blow can be made.

As such, this venerable one seeks to find others who have control over the power of fire. Heads severed with fire and whose wounds are seared shut do not regrow. But there are eight necks and more heads grow where one had been should the wound not be sealed properly. This venerable one wishes to gather as many who can wield fire as possible in Eltrut, where it will be easiest for any, regardless of alliance to gather and await the eight-headed beast's next attack.

When it comes, this venerable one is willing to lend any who wield fire a measure of his power. Once all who can have been so graced, we will attack as one. We will severe it's heads, seal the roots, and kill it before it has a chance to flee.

The mods have said that Daqiang is okay to power up other fire users for a mass attack on the Goose and that doing so can and will kill it! Daqiang has the ability to transfer energy and fire-based based abilities and spells are easiest for him to power up, take the least amount of energy for the most effect, etc. So if you want to assume/use the Untitled Goose Bounty 2 prompt in your Test Sail top levels/responses or your monthly posts and include either Daqiang having powered a fire user up, or the post-battle victory bbq, you absolutely can. Assume the big battle takes place near the end of the month, is all that I ask. As Daqiang will be expending all of his energy on this and ending up having to spend at least a week in recovery and I want that to happen in January.]]

[Video met with video as Shoto would never forget that voice let alone the way the man speaks. This is one of his new friends who has made the mistake of letting Shoto think that. Bakugo calls himself 'God' too, so this is nothing new for him and he thinks those two are going to get along really well with how they choose their titles and hero names.

I would offer to look but if it's all the same it may be better I let you either find or them come to you to be vetted. My father has an agency for heroes and scouting isn't done by everyone in it.

But yes, you are correct that you should not attempt to vet them. This venerable one will determine who will serve his purposes in this battle.

Everyone is someone else's villain, I only meant that I understand some things aren't for me to do. I'm sure I will be able to work with anyone that you ask me to.

[That was an interesting way of looking at things. And worth asking about, now that Shoto had confirmed he would follow Daqiang's lead.]

[Shoto repeats himself sometimes out of just being purely, incomprehensively bad with conversation, but this time it's sincere.]

Everyone is someone else's villain. Sometimes it's by things that happen, and sometimes it's out of our control. If you choose to use people considered, or considering themselves villains, I'll still be there to help as long as they don't turn on the people helping. If they stick to the goose, so will I.

And if this venerable one is a 'villain'?

Everyone is.

[His voice is resolute in its almost monotone nature. There's a pause like he isn't going to continue after that, but then he does, smoothly and with the same deadpan look on his face.]

Are you going to hurt people? Is that why you're gathering them, or are you looking to honestly stop a monster from terrorizing people where it didn't before?

This venerable one's concern is the destruction of the eight-headed beast that has eluded death for far too long.

[He's been really wanting to kill something worth his effort and this something is big and difficult to kill. It's a perfect target.]

The only ones this venerable one intends to protect are the God-Beasts. The people are not his concern.

[That they happened to be the home of so many and those people would benefit was just a happy bonus for those that lived there.]

[It only takes a couple seconds. Shoto's contrasting gaze settles over the image on the screen. His expression hasn't changed, or rather it's only in his eyes as he searches the face on the other end of it. They fall off to the side of the screen and he continues looking back once he's had a moment to process it all.]

And yet, after hearing that I might deflect if people were in danger, you haven't told me not to come. I think those things speak louder than the question of if someone is a villain or not. You're doing what you feel is right, and allowing me the same.

[He takes a breath and summates.]

I don't see a problem.

As you have just said. This venerable one also does not 'see a problem'. Some things must be done with force of men. To refuse your aid when you are not an enemy and you have what this venerable one requires would make no sense.

[He was just curious about Shoto's views when he so easily made the statement that everyone was someone else's villain. It was a very unusual view to encounter. And from a child who was... possibly mortal? Difficult to tell over the shellphones.]

Try to stay close to Eltrut in the coming weeks, if you are able.

I'm sure women could, too. [No, Shoto. Well yes but no.] You're right, though, I am not your enemy. You've been really nice to me and I'd rather be friends.

[Given time maybe he'll learn the whole reason for that view, but Shoto knows he is busy, too.]

[He had no friends. The words were at the tip of his tongue. Just as they had been every time Rem claimed that relationship.

And just as with her, he held them back. Those that claimed to be his friend would continue to claim it regardless of his refusal. And he had never found there to be a point in continuing an argument that would see the truth on it's own time.

He had no friends. Only obligations and loyalties. Those that thought otherwise would learn that eventually.]
