[Kalim sighs, figuring it's about time he at least attempts something. He can't just keep relying on Leona and Azul like this forever. Not when he isn't sure how long they might be here. Somehow, with Jamil, it's different. Probably because Jamil is his servant and has been at his side since before he can even remember. Still, he straightens, beaming like he is giving people the most amazing opportunity ever here:]

Hey! Hey, guys! Who wants to teach me how to cook? I've never done it before, but I can't really keep just relying on Leona and Azul all the time. So. I want to try and learn some for myself! If anyone is okay with teaching me some basics.

[And we mean basics. This child has never even made cereal or a sandwich in his life.....]

Do you have any preferences for what you would like to learn, aside from starting off simple?

You think so? I want to try. Even just a couple of basic things will help. So I can handle making something for myself without bothering Azul or Leona. I know I have some favourites and I probably wouldn't want to learn to make curries. If that helps narrow things down some. I like coconut juice. The simpler the better, really.

[Kalim has not even made himself a bowl of cereal. That is how hopeless and new to this he is.]

Yeah. I can't just keep relying on Azul with his Lounge all the time. Or Leona for taste testing. I mean, it's different with Jamil helping me out, but he isn't here, so. I figure if I make the food myself, I know it'll be safe to eat. I don't mind simple. That's probably best, since I've never made anything in the kitchen before.

[How a teenage boy has never even made a sandwich? By having Jamil do it for him. Or all the staff at home doing everything for him because his family are wealthy as heck.]
