video; what's up with those dragons?

Type: Video
Sender ID: pinksidekicking (Nimona)
To: General Public
Subject: Dragons
Warnings: Only maybe spoilers for Nimona movie

[ Please do not adjust your screens, there is, in fact, a pink gorilla appearing on the network. One who opens their mouth and a somewhat feminine voice comes out of. ]

You know, there are a lot of awesome things about this place. You can have a crew, no one's trying to kill you just because of being different, all the new foods, getting to explore the world, having ample opportunity to use fish and sea puns... breaking things sometimes. [ The gorilla is counting on their fingers. ]

Really, I could go on and on about why I love this world. [ It sounds like there's a- ]

But! You know what really gets me? We can't adopt dragons! Sure, they say "dragons can't be tamed", or "they're just too wild". [ Cue the quotation marks and the eye roll. ] But all I want in this life is a tiny pink mini-me dragon. Who better to try and be a dragon parent than someone who's also a dragon? At least a dragon on occasion.

Come on, you can't keep placing dragons in front of me and expect me to not want to adopt one of my very own! I am literally made to be a dragon parent, watch this!

[ The gorilla is setting up the phone to stand on its own, then steps back several feet before... with a little sparkle of pink magic - turns into a semi-large, equally pink dragon. It's holding out front arms like "ta-dah"! ]

Dragon parent Nimona!

They like it hot, right? I think there's probably a reason dogs or cats are so popular. Besides horses with getting around, those make sense for travel. Back home at least.

[Maybe not so much sense on the water, on ships and all like they are figuring traveling while here. But still.]

Oh, messages! I know we have these but if I break it or lose it or something. That's a good point, actually.

[Look it would hardly be surprising if Sorey dropped this thing or something with how he likes to run around exploring ruins and all. He is anticipating the possibility something might happen. At some point. Maybe.]

Somehow. I'm still not quite sure how I've managed so far. I'm so used to Mikleo being around. I still sometimes turn around expecting to see him or to tell or ask him something every so often.

[Of course he hasn't been around Edna and Lailah and the rest so much, only having met the rest more recently in comparison to having grown up attached at the hip with Mikleo, inseparable as they were except for that one time Mikleo ran off on his own.]

Phantom friend. Yeah. Something like that. I guess all the more appropriate because of him being a seraphim that most people can't sense, can't see or hear or anything.

I mean. Some people stare? They might not realize at least right away? I guess? But. That's only really been an issue since we left the village. Actually, I think others can see Eizen just fine so? If Mikleo or Lailah or the others were here too they might be okay that everyone could see and hear them and all?

Just a little. I'm sure they would adjust but it might take them a bit to get used to. I'm the only one back home that could see and talk to them, so they're used to kind of communicating through me like that.

I'm sure you would have fun with that, yeah.

[Sort of similar to Edna almost. If Sorey had to compare.]
