TWO TRUTHS AND A LIE

There have been a lot of riftfarers arriving lately. It seems like there have been more arriving than usual. So many different kinds of people from different kinds of worlds with stories to tell and experiences to give.

A little game has appeared on the shellphone network in hopes of getting to know just a little more about these otherworlders. You might find it on your shellphone as you’re scrolling through one day.

Tell the world two truths and one lie about yourself. And let others try and decipher which of the three is your lie. If they can guess right, perhaps you’ve been able to make a new acquaintance. Or in the least learn more about someone from another walk of life.

Mm, I don't know that I agree. While there are many different kinds of 'beauty', things created by human hands follow specific principles of design to grow into those many styles. Therefore, for those underlying principles to work, 'beauty' cannot be an entirely abstract principle.

If the perspective of another, however beneath this venerable one, offers useful and valuable insight, this venerable one will accept that insight. Currently, your perspective does not offer this. That is another failing of yours.

Additionally, many mortals have cultivated to immortality and become gods through the centuries. If you are unable to do so, that is also your own failing.

Finally, since you have offered three points: You may only be able to measure beauty and 'cuteness' by standards you have developed, but that does not make it an objective truth. It is rude and narrow-minded to assume it does.

But yes, this venerable one can be very rude.

You have failed to provide any evidence to counteract my base argument, so you have in no way proven the flaws of my thesis. poor scholarly form and weak debate technique. 6/10, try to address the actual thesis instead of resorting to ad hominem attacks.

The cultivating of immortality that the Adepti do does not automatically qualify them for divinity, though it makes them immortal. I have no interest in immortality--to live forever is not the pinnacle of wisdom nor truth. All things, even gods, can die, and erosion is inevitable. The impermanence of mortal beings should, too, be valued. It is not a failing to be uninterested in eternity, but a personal preference. This debate point lacks merit.

Beauty and 'cuteness' are separate concepts. The beauty of art is created by the principles that guide it, and how they are adhered to or creatively broken to communicate the experiences of the artist, even long after that moment and experience has passed. By contrast, cuteness can refer to a broad range of things, including a biological defense mechanism. So there is nothing at all incongruous with finding the strange tastes of another somewhat cute, especially if it is at odds with their outward demeanor.
