TWO TRUTHS AND A LIE

There have been a lot of riftfarers arriving lately. It seems like there have been more arriving than usual. So many different kinds of people from different kinds of worlds with stories to tell and experiences to give.

A little game has appeared on the shellphone network in hopes of getting to know just a little more about these otherworlders. You might find it on your shellphone as you’re scrolling through one day.

Tell the world two truths and one lie about yourself. And let others try and decipher which of the three is your lie. If they can guess right, perhaps you’ve been able to make a new acquaintance. Or in the least learn more about someone from another walk of life.

And how big are these "skyscrapers"? I'm assuming bigger than the buildings here.

[Well if they are called sky scraper then surely must mean something.]

[To be fair, a majority of other people's worlds have different creatures Ranma's never heard of. Is it really shocking he'd think yalm's some small monster?]

Typically hundreds to thousands of feet. If you were standing at the bottom of some, you wouldn't be able to see the top from a couple of miles away. They're usually in cities, so I hadn't seen too many. I'd say compared to a lot of the structures here, they're like comparing a tiny droplet of water to an endless sea.

So perhaps even taller than a castle or a tower spire? What's their purpose?

Maybe. Castles aren't all that common where I'm from, and I've only been to a couple on important business that didn't exactly involve sightseeing.

[Can't say they looked bad either, even if the princes there were jackasses.]

I dunno. I think it's where a lotta people do office work in. Boring stuff like that, which is prolly why they look massive to compensate?

You live in quite an interesting world if that is the case. But if that's the case, do you prefer how things are here?

[catsgothistongue]

Oh you can say that again...

[Interesting doesn't come close to describing Ranma's world.]

This place's pretty alright. It's a lot more... What's the word I'm looking here? [Saner?] Tame? All things considered. Plus the people here are mostly chill and cool.

If you think this world is tamer, I'm hesitant to think what all is in yours to make you think so.

It's mostly just the people back home can sometimes be a headache to deal with sometime, y'know? It's nice to have a little time away without them butting into my life every single day.

And that's not easy to do at your age. I take it you've at least made some new friends here then?

Eh, I handle those guys just fine. Helps keep my skills sharp too and keeps life from being too boring. But yeah, I'd say I have been getting along with the people here. So far, none of them tried to take my head off my neck or hold some petty grudge like my friends from back home, so it's been pretty alright.

Ranma, you are once again making me question your world and the type of people you've been with.

[catsgothistongue]

[Cid, not you too! Why do people keep judging him just cause of the place he's lived??]

Well when you mention having your neck on the line, it does raise a few questions. You weren't some notorious wanted criminal were you?

No? Last time I checked, I'm not anything like that. [Unless occasionally swiping a few things like clothes, food and medicine to survive suddenly makes him an outlaw at large.] Sometimes people've wanted me dead for a number of reasons, like grudges they had with me or my old man, cause they thought I was an obstacle, cause they're just bastards stroking their ego, the usual stuff. Most of them've chilled out some so they haven't tried to kill me as much as they wanted to before.

And I thought my world could be ruthless.

But that you managed to survive is a testament of your own strength and skill.
