This should work, and I'll tell you now if anyone tells my dad about this, a wrench is gonna meet your kneecaps. [Yes, she's serious about that, she's sharpening her wrench, kupo]
Anyway, if you know my dad Cid, his birthday is in a couple weeks, on the 7th. I'm still getting my bearings here, but if anyone knows a good place on the neutral island to pack in however many people he knows and is friendly with, we've got a party to plan!

If you say so. It still feels common courtesy to bring something anyway, but I don't really know your old man much outside of talking to him here and there, so wouldn't know what to get him anyway.

Probably some nice alcohol if you're old enough, or... writing tools. He writes a lot.

Hey, if I need to, I'm sure I could probably snatch a few bottles when no one's looking. [It's a lot easier for him to get that stuff when he needs to back in Japan, since there's vending machines that pop out cans of booze. That also probably just confirmed that, no, he isn't old enough to be able to assess it. Leading to his next point...] Though that depends on whether your old man'll get pissy being gifted alcohol by a teen. Some adults tend to get that way when they see teens with booze on them.
[Geez, wonder why that is.]
Writing stuff I could probably get easier. I'm sure they're handing out the stuff at the store or at a library. Thanks for the advice. How old is the guy supposed to be anyway? Might pick up a card for him too.

Hah, dad might not approve. He might, but prob'ly not... you could try, but it's gotta be the top shelf kind. He deserves nothing less.
[It'll be fiiiiine. Go with your heart, Ranma!!]
He was 38 last I heard from him, but that felt like ages ago. [...for good reason but we won't get into that now.] Dunno how long he's been here though.

Top shelf kind, only the best of the best. Got it. I'll take a gander later and see if I can't find anything.
[Are you sure that's advice you want to give him?]
Your guess's as good as mine, then. He was already here when I first dropped into this world. You'll probably have to ask him himself if you wanna know.

[Sure, what's friendly advice between two idiot teenagers :)]
Well he doesn't look like he's aged a hundred years so he's probably around the same age as he was before. I'll take a guess and say he's around there, but definitely not an old man yet.

[How hard is it to remember his name?!]
(2/2)
[A domino effect of chaos and calamity waiting to happen?]
So around 38-40 is a good middle ground?

[...she'll probably still call him a berk, but it's berk (affectionate). ...probably. Or she'll figure out a whole new nickname for him! Chaos and calamity may apply(TM).]

[Sounds just like home. He'll probably call her something demeaningly affectionate at some point, should he figure out something. Cause uncute is reserved for one tomboy, and he'd rather be creative about his insultiments (that's insulting compliments).]
