[Here sits Denji with his feet dangling over the dock's edge in Eltrut looking out towards the setting sun with a stoic expression over his features, twiddling his thumbs as he contemplates how best to ask the rather serious question that has been mauling about his brain for the better part of a weeks time now. Being trapped in this newfound world for over a month now has given him time to learn a few things about his situation here and found out a few people who've been brought to Escordvi's shores were dead before their arrival. In his days as a devil hunter for Public Safety he's seen a number of his co-workers, some he would even call friends taken before their time from gruesome deaths he would not wish upon anyone besides his enemies that opposed them anyways. One person in particular he feels slightly responsible for given he was the one who had to put him out of his misery before hurting innocent bystanders in the wake of their horrible transformation under the Gun Devil's influence.

Looking over to his shellphone propped up against a nearby barrel the teenage boy sighs solemnly before he just comes right out and asks the masses for advice and perhaps guidance on how he might go about achieving his new goal of resurrecting his departed friend back from the grave. Despite Aki's desire to rid their world of the terror he unfortunately succumbed to perhaps he could find solace here with a new life void of worry and sorrow. One of the people he could almost call actual 'family', a sort of big brother figure who vouched for him on more than one occasion. He owed it to his colleague to at least try after everything he did for him, giving him money to keep a roof over both he and Power's head after passing away on top of everything else.]

Yo...Denji here. Does anyone know if there is some way to bring people back from the dead here? I know there are relics and magical shit all over the place and thought maybe someone found something that could maybe do that?

[Denji hadn't really thought about that until just now...What if Aki did come back to live only to be resurrected as the Gun Devil fiend his dead body was taken over by!?!]

Shit...Well here's hopin' he would come back how I remember him by and not how he died cause...Yeah, that was not the real Aki.

[Completely under the influence of the Gun Devil as a fiend the big brother he never really had was all but most to madness. If that was how his friend would be revived he would certainly be better off dead or he would just try and murder anyone in his path once again. Sighing solemnly the teenager tries not to dwell on that being as optimistic as possible as he thinks about what the other says.]

Your brother came back from the dead?

Yeah...he was killed when we were kids.

But when he came back, he seemed to be an adult like me. It's...complicated.

Either way, he was not the Dromas I remember. He was vicious and...[He sighs.]

All I'm saying is that...they might not come back the way you'd want them to and at that point is it really worth it?

[This gives Denji a lot to think about but so long as Aki doesn't come back as the Gun Devil fiend he thinks the other would be thankful for his newfound life and try to make the best of it here in Escordvi. His left hand curls tightly into a fist as a look of pure determination crosses his features with a firm nod of his head.]

That really sucks man but...I think it would still be worth a shot.

[A brief pause.]

He deserves it after all the bullshit he dealt with back home.

Hey, not trying to dissuade you. Just...you know. A friendly warning from someone with experience with people coming back.

And hey, if I find out anything, I'd be happy to pass it along. See if I can vet the info to make sure it's reliable.

[He blinks wide in disbelief considering most of the people have tried to stop him from attempting it in the first place before quickly replacing the confused look with a nod of his head in affirmation followed in short by a genuine smile.]

Hey thanks! Glad you aren't like everyone else who's been tryin' to stop me.

I mean, I don't think it's the best idea but who the hell am I to judge if an idea is good or bad?

Besides, this Aki guy was important to you, right? I honestly get that. So...yeah, count me in. And if things go south, then you don't have to deal with the fallout alone, yeah?

[The question prompts a quick nod.]

Yeah. Thanks again man you seem like a pretty chill guy. What's your name anyways?

And you said your name was...Denji, right? It's good to meet you.

[A tilt of his head with intrigue as he crosses his arms.]

So you make badass swords and shit, Darin?!

Swords, shields, armor, tools...you name it. If it's made of metal, I can do it~

[No, he's not at all gloating, what gave you that idea?]

[Which gets Denji thinking he kind of missed having his hatchet to use back home when he did not necessarily need to transform into his devil form if the adversary was weak. A pointer finger taps his chin curiously as he visually thinks for a second before he just goes right out and asks without anymore hesitation. Not like he had anything to hide, right?]

You think you could make me a cool hatchet or axe?! I used one back home when I fought weak ass fiends and shit so I didn't have to turn into chainsaw.

An axe? Yeah, I can make that easy! And trust me, my gear absolutely works on fiends and monsters. You won't have to worry about turning into a chain—

... ... ...

...What?

[He doesn't even know what a chainsaw is.]

Sick! It was nothin' fancy just a small hatchet used with one hand not like some huge ass axe you see in video games that ain't my style.

[That would be way too clunky and not his jam as he prefers to be swift and agile in his movements during a fight.]

So you don't know what a chainsaw is, huh? You're not the only one guess a lot of people don't around here.

No but...it sounds like a tool?

You can change into a tool?

Yeah! They are used to cut down trees! Me and my pet devil used to do that to make extra cash back in the day.

[Thinking back on it causes Denji to frown a bit to himself deep in thought still wishing he could pet Pochita again to this day.]

Pet WHAT?!

You've got a devil for a pet?!

[He grins wide with a nod of his head.]

Yup! Well...I did anyways.

[A bit of a frown quickly replacing the smirk over his features in an instant.]

Uh...did...something...

Happen to it?

Oooor...?

[He's kind of trying not to freak out at the moment.]

Yeah...He died. Well, not completely Pochita gave me his heart and lives inside of me so that I could live on after we both got chopped up into bits and pieces by that asshole Zombie devil's slaves.

[A brief pause as he sighs solemnly.]

He...saved me.

[Denji you are throwing a lot of information at Darin very, very quickly.]

So...you were chopped up into pieces...and your devil gave you his heart and that...

Brought you back to life? And now you turn into a chainsaw?
